Pennants aren't won in April,but they sure in the fuck are lost! 3-0 lead in the 1st and with the piss poor team Kenny has assembled looks like another loss. Not beating teams they should plus they're divisional rivals. Ozzie and Kenny have both out lived there welcome. How long can you go on living on your past
laurels?Plus fuck Greg Walker too, hitting coach is not like a Supreme Court Justice....it's not a job for life:wink:

This team sucks from top to bottom.
Starting pitching = bad
Hitting = bad
Lineup = bad
Coach = annoying and most likely will be fired by June if the Sox are in the cellar, which they already are.

The only good thing on this team is the bullpen. That is FUCKING sad.

Both Chicago teams suck right now but this Sox team doesn't have what it takes to make up ground.

Cellar dwellers.

When does Bourbonnais start?

Country Bumpkin, I thought you were in hibernation until early this fall when your carbon-copy thoughts could be posted after the first Bears loss of the season?

p.s. I know the Sox are sucking pretty badly right now, but has a team's season ever been determined by their record over the first two weeks of the season?

The '88 Oriole and the '97 Cub would say yes.

I saw Mark Tehean boot a ball on Friday, and then I didn't see another pitch of Chicago baseball all weekend. Looks like I didn't miss a whole hellava lot.

My carbon-copy thoughts are about two teams in the same city that aren't good or deep enough to make up lost ground. The Yankees and the BoSox are teams that can do this but the Sox not so much. The Cowboys, Pats and Chargers are teams that can do this as well but the Bears not so much.

I realize the World Series and the SB are not won in the first few games, but they sure as hell can be lost if you are playing catch up all season.

If you want to poke fun be my guest but this Sox team was suppose to be well put together and have a great pitching staff but so far they've been a bunch of bumblers. Not the team that was supposed to have the best pitching staff in the league.

There is a long way to go and the Sox might find their mojo but dropping games like they have and the fact they aren't deeply talented causes me concern.

Its still early. If the Sox are within say 2 games of .500 at the end of April, they will be able to compete all year. And the same is true for the Cubs (Though I think the Twins are better than any team in the NL Central). Both teams have started off pretty poorly, but you smiply cannot write anybody off with almost 150 game to play yet.

Agreed Frank, but it is an all too familiar start to the season for the Sox. They don't come out of the gate strong and waste energy better used for the playoff push trying to get over .500 or maintain break even.

That said everyone is correct in saying the season is not over. I just feel I'm watching 2008 and 2009 all over again. I know my expectations are not realistic, but I'd like for them to at least humor me.

That Choo guy is pretty good. Better than Sizemore? maybe...

(Big League) Choo is a hell of a player but I need a larger sample size before I say he's better than Sizemore, who still isn't over the injuries from last season.

Good seats available at (Not So) Progressive Field... :lol: :lol: When the Indians' ballpark opened in the '90s as Jacobs Field, it was always sold out. When the Tribe started to stink, fans started to stay away in droves, even when Ohio-based Progressive Insurance bought the naming rights a couple years ago.
