Just catching the last quarter of the jazz game and what has turned into a real good game.Real dumb move by Melo fouling out with 25 seconds to play and down by 1, imo.I know you are pressing but you have to know your foul situation and your importance to the team. Now you are sitting on the bench as your team gets free throwed to death.

This OKC/LA Series has been very entertaining thus far. Thunder had 17 blocks  in last night's game, and almost escaped with a win. This is definitely not the first round series the defending champs wanted to play. I can see this thing coming back to LA tied at 2-2.

Maybe. I've been expecting more out of Westbrook. Fisher is terrible. Westbrook really needs to step up his game. Then again, I dont know how many more games like that Kobe has in him. He really looks old and hurt. He needs to not do a damn thing this summer.

I just heard that Wade called out his teammates after the game. If true, this is great. Since he is one of my favorite players in the league, and IMO clearly a top 3 player right now, I hope for his sake he gets out of Miami. Obviously I'd love him in Chicago, but just for his sake I hope he goes to a team where management has some semblance of how to construct a team. Carlos Arroyo, Jermaine Oneal, Micheal Beasley, and Quentin Richardson are his other starters. Outside of Wade, that has to be one of the 5 worst starting lineups in the NBA. Not an average player in the bunch.

you clearly don't watch any basketball at all. i'm guessing the last time you watched a game quentin richardson was a decent player. i might take Beasley over Brad Miller or something, but other than that I'd take any of the Bulls starters over any of those 4. carlos arroyo??? he wasn't even in the league half of this year

So the Mavs lose one game in the series and they are suddenly in trouble? The Mavs are still winning this series, watch and see.

Yes, i would say you qualify as "in trouble" when you lose home court. i didn't say they were in dire straights, but you have to protect home court

It is one game in a best of 7. The Mavs will win one in SA and it will come back to Dallas 2-2

People say the Thug League shit all the time, but it would seem that whites liked the league better back in the 80's/90's. In my opinion, the play was much more physical and "thuggish" back then. Why has viewership dropped as the NBA has taken the more physical play out of the game?

W_Z hit on the tattoo point already so I won't belabor that but the trash talking is much greater than back then as well. MJ would jack with opponents and smile at them - he wouldn't dance on the sidelines or yell at his opponents from the bench.

Stan Van Gundy has a request for the NBA: fewer days between games in the playoffs.

Never one to shy away from giving his opinion, the Orlando Magic coach said Wednesday before Game 2 against Charlotte that the league’s first-round playoff format that spreads games out for prime-time television is difficult on teams.

“It’s almost like you’re on a high school schedule or a college schedule playing twice a week” in the first round, he said.

Don’t get Van Gundy wrong: He understands the lucrative TV contracts the league has with networks, which slot games apart. But he’d rather see the NBA play back-to-back games in the playoffs like Major League Baseball or at least every other day.

“Baseball gets their whole playoffs and World Series done in like three weeks,” Van Gundy said. “Us, it takes us the first round to go three weeks.”

The Magic beat the Bobcats in Game 1 on Sunday. The teams had two days off before Wednesday’s game, and they don’t play again until Saturday in Charlotte.

The playoffs began April 17. The NBA finals will end in mid-to-late June.

Van Gundy suggested the NBA have back-to-back games in each city, then allow for a day off for travel. He said the first-round schedule throws teams off because it’s so different from the regular season.

“The thing is they stretch all of it out in the first round for TV, and it really is strange because you get into a routine in the regular season where every once in a while you get a few days off. But for the most part, you’re playing back-to-backs and every other day,” he said.

Van Gundy also has been critical of the NBA playing on holidays. The Magic played on Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter among others this season.

But, as always, he understands the purpose behind the schedule.

“It’s not the perfect schedule, but we all make a lot of money off TV and so for us to look at it and start griping about what we get from TV—we’re all making money because of TV and because of the people out there that want to watch it,” Van Gundy said. “So we’ll spre

Nice win for the Thunder last night. Should be interesting to see if either the Bulls or Thunder can tie it up 2-2....seems that 3rd game at home is usually the one the underdog can manage to win, then usually get blown out in game 4. And I still can't believe Kobe didn't shoot a FT. That's insane.

Blazers are pretty much done I think.

No way. As overpaid as Iggy is, he singlehandedly beats those 4. Obviously if you add Wade it makes it an average lineup, but thats still pretty pathetic considering he's a top 3 player in the league.
