Whatever mess you made you made by yourself. I don't doubt I had something to do with it though. I've heard how much you like me.

This article wasn't Mac trying too hard. God did someone actually suggest that?

Hard to see, but are those Big Ten helmets? I count 11 and I think I can make out the Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin...

Hey, each one of those helmets cost Maccey Dan a roll of quarters and 45 minutes of feeding quarters into a mini-helmet filled gumball machine.

For Christ's sake, Mac, the helmets ON THE FLOOR??!! Maybe that's how you decorate in NW Indiana, but that's lame. Get yourself some of these little plastic hooks that adhere to the wall and hang the helmets up by the earhole. It works fine. I also have the Big 10 mini-helmets as well as all 32 NFL mini-helmets displayed that way in my basement.

In defense of Dan,you go in anyones house and you will see something that YOU think is strange or sloppy looking or whatever. Everybody has their own tastes. For Mac,it's the helmets on the floor. Who knows having shit on your floor might be a Hoosiers idea of making it "earthquake proof".

I agree with that, but it usually applies to stuff on shelves, cabinets, etc. Most people are so used to seeing the same shit in their houses day after day that they just stop noticing it.

This situation is a little different with the helmets being on the floor. Does that carpet ever get vacuumed? There's probably a maid, right? Maybe not. Does Mac shuffle down there in his little slippers on Saturday morning to vacuum it himself? Anyway, he must be making a conscious decision to pick up the helmets, vacuum, then replace the helmets, perhaps in some sort of order that makes sense to him (alphabetical one week, football standings, basketball standings, etc.). I used to do shit like this with the MLB pennants that I had in my bedroom. When I was 12.

In any case, he is making a conscious decision each week to arrange those things on the floor. He must really think they are the cat's ass.

Its no Pappyland. Mack is trying to compete with Pappyland. It's like comparing Kiddieland to Disneyworld.

Is this really a picture of Mac in his basement? A fucking TV tray table for an end table? Helmets on the ground? It actually looks low end.
