He's been paid a large amount of money, and can't even watch a WS game ?

To be fair, it's not just North who does this - he'll at least watch college sports, and the NBA, and other shows in town, like Boers, will just flat out tell you that they aren't going to watch some sports event because he doesn't care.

Some of these hosts have become so complacent that if they don't care, it doesn't matter, who cares what their listeners think.

Mike and Mike start their show an hour earlier, and those guys are always watching every major event that their listeners would want them to talk about.

This wasn't a West Coast regular season Cubs/Dodgers, White Sox/A's, Bulls/Clippers that ends at 12:30 - it's a WS game that lasts one week out the year, and, there really isn't a whole else going on right now to talk about locally with the Bears coming off a bye week, and the Bulls finishing up pre-season.

I agree with you - if he does goes to bed, don't talk about that. Just watch sportscenter, read the news stories about it, don't come on the air unprepared.

They at least TIVO it, watch it in the AM, without commercials.

But at least they do it to make sure they are prepared to host a sports show.

It would take him or anybody else about 60 seconds to collect some quick info on the internet on the game results. There is no excuse for this.

As I thought, Boers comes right on today and says at 2:10 or so that he didn't watch any of the game, and doesn't plan to watch any...then he goes on the rip, with Bernstein leading the way, the FOX broadcast.
