Friday, April 30 6:05 PM - WCIU

Freddy Garcia, RHP (0-2, 5.82)
Andy Pettitte, LHP (3-0, 1.29)

Saturday, May 1 12:05 PM - CSN

John Danks, LHP (3-0, 1.55)
Javier Vazquez, RHP (1-3, 9.00)

Sunday, May 2 12:05 PM - CSN, TBS

Mark Buehrle, LHP (2-3, 4.68)
Phil Hughes, RHP (2-0, 2.00)

Ozzie says he is going to find another place for struggling leadoff man Juan Pierre. As far I'm concerned, that place may as well be the end of the bench. So far old friend Javy Vazquez is off to a rocky start on his return to the Bronx. Oh well, at least they manage to miss CC and Burnett.

Sox suck but I like the pitching matchups for them here. Danks has been smokin.

Juan Pierre's supposed to be benched for tomorrow's opener at New Yankee Stadium, but "U" may have noticed Carlos Quentin a late scratch this afternoon at Texas. #20 hurt his hamstring, resulting in Mark Kotsay DH-ing instead of Pierre in the getaway game at the Ballpark in Arlington, TX. Quentin won't play tomorrow either. SHARK senses a Jayson Nix sighting in the outfield with Andy Pettitte starting the series for the Champs from the Bronx...

God I hope they pin that burrito Andy Pettitte's ears back tomorrow. It would be nice to hang an L on Javy too.

They do have favorable matchups here, missing Sabathia and Burnett, but I'd be surprised, with this offense, if they win 1 game.

Unless they can hit some HRs. For some reason, I see Danks losing 2-1 to dumbfuck Javy.

As good as the Sox hope to pitch this weekend, I really doubt they hold the Yankees offense down, meaning the White Sox are going to have to score around 5 runs per game to win (at least). They haven't shown the ability to do that.

It may have normalized a bit, but that launching corridor of gopherballs out to right field certainly helps the lefthanded sluggers. Which the Yankees never seem to have a shortage of...

Change in plans, Sboyd...Danks & Javy Vazquez toe the rubber tomorrow at 12Noon. Tonight, it's actually Freddy Garcia vs. Pettitte...Lineup forthcoming.

Oops... original post edited, as if anyone cares. Either way, MLB.com or I had it wrong last night

I'm hearing Quentin is hurty and Pierre is supposed to be benched... will it be Nix in the outfield?

That was the plan...The initial lineup has Alexei Ramirez leading off with Quentin DH-ing and Pierre still in left field...

Thanks SHARK. I am training new hires and don't have access to my radio like usual.

 Yeah lets go from a 200 leadoff hitter to a 220 leadoff hitter.

Why not just move Pierre to the bench?

I don't know what they are this year, but Alexei usually has pretty good numbers versus lefties.

According to MLB Gameday, Nix is in right, Quentin is DHing, Pierre is in left, and Jones is on the bench? So we will just have to tune in I guess.

Man Konerko is on a HR tear. Too bad the rest of the team isn't following his lead.

Can't be angry about the game tonight. If you told me Freddy would go 6 innings and give up 4 earned runs I'd say hell yes. They beat the Sox best. Go get em tomorrow, boys.

Derek Jeter tied the game with a two-run homer in the bottom 5th after the White Sox lead 4-2 going in. Jeter tripled a pair home in the bottom 7th and seemed to take advantage of a guy in Jayson Nix who's NOT a right fielder by any stretch of the imagination and is no immediate threat to Ben Zobrist. His teammate Alex Rodriguez, like him or loathe him, took away 2 base hits with a pair of lineouts that may have saved this ballgame for the Champs tonight.

I am confused Shark. I thought Future Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera saved this ballgame. Now you are telling me that Alex Rodriguez may actually have saved the game by lining out twice?

Were you involved in the photographic trickery that seemingly placed a woman's handbag on Alex Rodriguez' arm as he sprinted to first base in the 2004 American League Championship Series?

A Major League 3rd Baseman is SUPPOSED to catch a line drive hit right to him.

STOP LISTENING TO HAWK HARRELSON, SHARK!!!!!!!

After that play I went over to MUDBUG and played the Ky Derby and shot the shit with Fred Huebner.

Vizquel at short leading off. Jones back in CF hitting third, Rios off. Pierre still in there hitting 9th.

Hopefully the Vazquez slump will continue...

The Vasquez slump is continuing, but so is the Linebrink slump. Why do I feel the Sox will lose again today even with the lead?
