I would start with Summerteeth.

Being There has my favorite Wilco songs, but like MCATIS, it's a double album that probably
could have been better had it edited out some of the filler.

I know I've made a lot of lists here but here are but 10 essential Wilco songs, IMHO -

I saw the demo album a few weeks ago, but the store wanted $40 for it. I passed. Is it good? The self-titled one pictured above is really solid.

I've been looking for Da Capo on vinyl, but havent been able to find it.

yeah the demo album is really good..i paid like 20 for it a few years ago at reckless. funny thing tho...the circumference of the record has a small piece of vinyl jutting out from it...i tried to gently file it down but it didn't really work well. my old record player couldn't play it b/c there wasn't a lot of clearance in the back..i actually broke the belt on it trying to play it. my current record player has far more room in the back and plays it fine.
