Sun -Times reporter Lewis Lazare:

Teinowitz faces discipline-

Larzare did confirm the White Sox threw Harry out of the "Clubhouse" as he was drunk and he got a comment from Delevitt that reads, "He usally is loud , even under normal circumstances", explained Adam Delevitt... We are looking at disciplinary action but we don't feel a suspension is warrented.... 'WHAT '!!

The guy shows up drunk to a "Clubhouse" repersenting the station and you guys are going to slap his hand ....I want to work at ESPN !!! Guy should have his credentials taken away and asked to seek help for his problem and given a week off .

here is the link....http://www.suntimes.com/business/lazare ... 07.article

Its unbelievable what this guy gets away with. I wish my fathah owned the land of which one of the tallest buildings of the land was built. I would be embarrassed if I was Delevitt reading my quote in the paper. "He's loud" - that's his public take on Harry getting kicked out of the White Sox clubhouse drunk. It's amazing that the letters ESPN are still associated with that establishment.

Officially slapped around and disciplined....except there was neither. What do you guys think is appropriate?

They would be harsher on him if he were drunk on-air. If the Sox were pissed & coming on strong, I'm sure they'd punish him more vigorously. Presumably Harry left when asked, so they're willing to let this lie..

Do I agree? I think the Sox would be well within their moral, etc., to tell Harry to stay away from the locker rooms. More than that probably isn't warranted.

I wonder how appreciative ESPN is for the 1000 frequency. Fatha got the frequency for the original MVP...

This is the same <Zimmer> clubhouse </Zimmer> that has been the home to many Ozzie Guillen tirades. You must have to act like a real jerk to get kicked outta there.

Make him go to AA meetings.

I don't know if he realizes or cares, is that there are a great deal of people that appear to have little to no respect for him. He seemingly plods through life with no purpose. People don't think he is bad just a harmless joke. He is the definition of vacuous. It's really kind of sad. I think he brings it on himself but I feel bad for him because I really don't think he is a bad guy.

This has nothing to do with Harry's family or their wealth...

You don't shit where you eat.....

The big picture is Harry made a fool of himself...while annihilated...

Harry wants to be taken seriously as a sports guy here in town...this is a setback, to put it mildly.

Harry, when you are drunk at the Cell...go to the Stadium Club or the Bullpen Bar...period..end of story.....you can bet people in the bars would at least look after you to an extent....

I've never got the feeling he wants to be taken seriously. What makes you say that?

I think it annoys him that he isn't taken very seriously but is too lazy and doesn't care enough to try to figure out why.

You know what pisses me off. It's not when people get away with things. It's when they profit off of them. When Harry Teinowitz is doing commercials for adult diapers because of this I'll be pissed.

Bingo. Are you a bad person if you are a severely selfish person?

I don't even think its because of events like this that make people look at him like a goof. Its a myriad of other things like:

Mark Grace should be in the HOF
Jersey# recitation
"AJ, what do you think about the Gators this year" and other stupid, softball questions
I love the Cubs, and I love the Sox
etc etc etc

Really don't understand what this has to do with the others...

He's a great guy.

The whole Chicago Super Fan bit gets old.....the whining about maybe having to pay a PSL on his Cubs Season tickets because they don't appreciate 'loyalty' was other worldish....

I don't know if he needs AA.....everybody has had serious lapses in judgment while shitfaced....liquid courage.....depending on the level of intoxication....the thought of "WHAT CAN GET ME IN THE MOST TROUBLE RIGHT NOW" may not cross one's mind and seems like a wonderful idea.

Anything "business" at the Cell like the Press Box or the Clubhouse obviously should have been avoided...

He was shitfaced and now has really embarrassed himself in a big way...not the first guy to do this nor the last.

That reminds me of most sports talk callers:

"Hey Jason, I love your show. I've been a Cubs fan for 35 years but I really don't think the Bulls should've let Vinny Del Negro go."

Because most people are either Cubs or Sox fans. Most of those hate the other team. I think its just another reason that some people look at him like a goof.

There is never malice associated with it though. He has and has always had a ton of money and I don't really hear him talk about it.

I'm not sure he has really faced any adversity. People allow him to act the way he does so he does. He likes to be the good time guy that everybody talks to about short, small, superficial subjects, kiss the babies and move on. I don't think he knows any better or sees himself as selfish. He believes he is doing a good job. He is what he is. I could see where it would be frustrating to work with him but I don't think he is a bad guy.

ASFB it would do him good to probably cut back on the drinking. He doesn't need to drive as often as he does and if you pee yourself in public I think it might be time to take a look at yourself.

The weird thing about this is that he was asked to leave the press area or media box by the White Sox as he was beligerent there and then waddles down to the clubhouse and get's thrown out .... I think ESPN gives him a chance to clean himself up and then set some rules with him . I think Mac has been saying the guy is a fuck up for years and was made to look as the problem all these years but to not give Tiny a few days off is a joke..If it was Mcneil it would of been 2 weeks .

The all time best is when he was soooo happy and told the World that D Lee waved to him!!!!
Come on...one thing to have a player wave to your 5 year old son or 12 year old daughter or nephew....
BUT WHEN YOU ARE MIDDLE AGED, HOW CAN THIS BE SUCH A THRILL!!!!!???????

I'm not just commenting on his professional body of work. Though one could point to everything you mentioned as acts of selfishness. I'm not for sure if he is a bad person. He is definitely selfish. His behavior is full of selfishness. I will say, I'm not quite for that Dan Mana bringing up this Tiny scenario on-air is in good taste. I actually think I'm against the fact he even brought this up from a moral and/or etiquette standpoint. However, it did make for great radio yesterday.
