Since no one else started it yet.

If they win today, I am going to put this team back on my radar.

I think they may be done scoring today.

It's frightening how god damned dependant this team is on Rios, Jones and Konerko. Take one of the three out of the lineup and the offense is a complete mess.

GD, Andruw Jones was originally scheduled to start this afternoon...Unfortunately, he's got a stiff neck and Carlos Quentin, who was out of the original lineup, is playing.

I am aware of that situation. When the team is hitting the way it is, a stiff neck isn't an acceptable reason for sitting out a day with a day off tomorrow...but I guess that is what you get with Jones.

Rauch is due for a blown save.

True, but unless he walks himself into a jam, the White Sox can't hit.

I'm done. I'm just fucking done. This offense sucked when it was put together and it has not disappointed. All these veterans acquired early in the off season were supposed to provide a great bench...and then KW stopped...and that bench was suddenly good enough to start. I don't know if it was Ozzie or money or if he was satisfied with the talent, but he just stopped. Time after time there were legitimate big league bats available for pennies and the Sox passed on them. The kick in the nuts is that KW then goes out and signs Teahan for 5 million per, after trading him for a guy making minimum wage who stole 25 bases in his rookie year. Just to put that in perspective, Matsui, a guy whose skills perfectly aligned with Sox needs, signed for 6.5.

So here we are starting 4 FUCKING PLAYERS HITTING UNDER .200 IN MID MAY and those guys have absolute job security because there is no one better than them on the bench. I'm tired of hearing about all the guys playing below their career averages, because we are getting some unexpected major contributions from others. This has all evened out. This is what the Sox were destined to be.

Oh, and as I'm typing this I get a message from whitesox.com telling me about the great matchups coming up....FLUNK YOU AND KURT VONNEGUT! Not only do you suck, your promotions people suck so bad they cannot get any sponsors to promote giveaways that will at least attract my kids to want to watch.

And believe me, I know we are sitting here with 4 of the incredilble starters posting +4.75 ERAs, but shit, you lost multiple series to the INDIANS. THE ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL FUCKING INDIANS!

I agreed with Bernstein yesterday when he said it wouldn't matter if they won both games 10-0 because the season is over. It's just that every once in a while you come upon a game that gives you a moment of clarity of that reality and it makes you scream. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Now I am better. These Sox are dead to me.

I know he had a single this afternoon, but here's the problem with possibly sending second baseman Gordon Beckham back to the minors. The options are very, very limited right now. Omar Vizquel's washed up and has looked even worse than Beckham at the plate. Jayson Nix may be better suited for second base, but he's on this roster as Mark Teahen's backup at third base vs. most lefties and I'm not so sure you will see Jayson at second base anytime soon. Also, the likes of C.J. Retherford & Brent Lillibridge down at Triple "A" Charlotte aren't exactly hitting either. Unless G.M. Kenny Williams wants to talk with Cubs' G.M. Jim Hendry about acquiring either Mike Fontenot or Jeff Baker, both of whom are expendable with Ryan Theriot now at second base and Starlin Castro at shortstop, forget about Beckham going back to the minors.

This season was done before it started. The battle call really was "well, maybe the Twins pitching won't be good".

They should just put 0-2 every time Carlos Quentin walks to the plate.

He needs to go on the Danny Mac show so Speigs can give him hitting tips.

I don't think Carlos Quentin has been the same hitter since he hurt his wrist in disgust 2 years ago when he struck out vs. Cliff Lee, then of the Indians, at (Not So) Progressive Field in Cleveland.

A-fucking-men GD. I hope after this year Ozzie just fucking quits. If I hear this fucking douchebag kiss the ass of the Twins one more fucking time I will just smash every radio in my house. If you love them so much, go work for them dickhead. That would just pump me up to hear my skipper sing the praises of the team I am trying to beat to win the division.

This team just fucking blows. I have not seen such poor hitting in my life and I have been on this earth for 37 years. KW has just signed a bunch of washed up players. Losing to KC tonight 6-1? Are you kidding me? Buerhle is about done too IMHO.

This team is dead to me. Dead I say!
