well jerri becomes an interesting swing vote. sandra and parvati are going to be together now to get russell out, even though i would think sandra would have a better chance of winning against russell than parvati.

but with colby and rupert now coming to the "dark side", russell would be able to get rid of parvati before parvati could get rid of russell...

what would be great is a split vote of 3 votes russell, 3 votes parvati, and the two have to make a fire to see who gets voted out and who stays.

you could tell by the look on her face at tribal that she was like "danielle...please shut up. you're ruining this for both of us." and danielle's revelation sealed her fate and probably parvati's too.

Check out this link to vote for the dumbest Survivor ever.

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/vote/

Sorry if it's been posted already. In my excitement to share, I didn't double back. Also, my vote changed to Colby after watching each of the 30-second clips. I went in thinking Eric, but Colby flushed away a million bucks. What an idiot. Either way, all 5 of them were morons.

In order:

1) Colby (gave away a mildo)
2) Eric (gave away immunity and was immediately voted out)
3) James (left with 2 immunity idols)
4) JT (gave away an immunity idol and was voted out at the next tribal council)
5) Tyson (totally played by Russell)

Also, I'm sick of all the immunity idols. I think they dilute the show.

As for who's in more trouble: Parvati or Russell, I say Russell. He might get farther in terms of getting to the final 2 (or final 3, which I hate), but he has NO chance to win the million whereas Parvati could. The alliance they allude to in next week's preview (Russell, Rupert, and Colby) stands no chance because Colby and Rupert would get rid of Russell in a heartbeat if they can get someone like Jerri to flip. I know she hates Colby, but Rupert might be able to talk some sense into her, especially if they get Sandra to help. God is Jerri a spineless knucklehead.

I love Survivor. There I admit it.

I still can't believe people still watch this show. And a lot of them. Besides people I've met on this board, I do not have one friend who has watched this show in the last 6-7 years.

Yep, I just noticed in the view new post section this thread was 7 pages running. I'm simply amazed, that's all. I'd love to know the demo on this show. TV ratings and trends interest me and this particular show I can't figure out as far as the following goes. Not saying it's a bad show (because I wouldn't know at this point anymore), but just blown away by the millions that watch it and out of so many people I know and talk to on a daily basis no one ever brings up this show or says they watch it. Randomly I'll ask just hoping for someone to say yes.

It's a guilty pleasure, I admit. In my family, we used it as a gathering to eat at my mom's and then stay to watch the show, I imagine like families did with Ed Sullivan back in the day.

Then, when we moved away, we all kept watching, and it's something we discuss after it airs. I make no apologies, WR.

So you just go up to people "randomly" and ask them, a la a man on the street bit? :P

No not people I don't know. But with friends if we get talking about TV I'll throw that one out there hoping for someone to bite and I never get any to say they watched after season 2. Back when Elisabeth was much more enjoyable to watch.

I think Russel may have fucked himself. He might've jumped the gun in getting rid of Danielle so early. It all comes down to next week. If he survives next week it was a good play, if he doesn't then he really overplayed his hand and made a dumb move.

When the previews show Rupert/Russel/Colby forming an alliance that's usually a good sign that the alliance will either fail or never happen. Classic misdirection. If I had to place a bet today on who would be voted out next week I would put my money on Russell unfortunately.

they teased about JT giving russell his hidden immunity idol on a "on the next" and it happened. so not everything is a misdirection. russell has to know that alliance is his best play. parvati's been exposed as a liar as well so why would they trust her over him?

jerri is going to be a huge vote. she really has no alliance to anyone.

Now that they are down to 6, all the voters are huge. Sandra is a big vote.

Man, yeah, Rupert threw everything out of whack with that fake idol. I was surprised Russell picked up on it, and fell for it.

Sandra's got the inside track right now, doesn't she? She's got the idol (assuming someone else doesn't find it or she forgets where it is :drunken: ), and nobody is even gunning for her right now. And now I'm thinking, she might have a change of heart and actually want to keep Russell around - it would be great for her to be up against him in the final 2.

Which brings me to a question for you guys - I know they filmed this season and the prior season, back-to-back. So, during this season's taping, I assume Russell was unaware if he won the previous season or not. True? If so, it might explain why he is still unconcerned with being massively unpopular with the jury. He might be under the impression that he won the season before using this same strategy.

I don't see why anyone would want to get rid of Russell at this point. He's the perfect guy to be in the final 2 with. He's pissed off everyone, so he has no chance of winning.

Also, a random thought that's been mentioned before, but what the hell happened to Colby? He sucks at everything.

Its something that happens to all of us eventually. You get old and you start to lose a step. Then a few more years go by and you lose another step. Rinse and repeat a few times and next thing you know a sweet live in nurse is wiping your ass for you and feeding you apple sauce.

Finally got around to watching this last night. Good stuff. Russell had
Danielle babbling like a complete idiot. I knew she wasn't mentally strong
but to break down like that and try to bring Pavarti with you was pretty
funny and embarassing to watch. This has been a great season, anything
can still happen. Russell is talking trash to Rupert early in the episode and
then later on they are in an alliance. Just wish there was no immunity idol
at this stage but I guess it keeps things a little more interesting.

Russell is the greatest mid-game player in the games history. The problem is that if he didn't have such a massive ego and think that he could totally ignore the social aspect of the game he'd actually have a chance of winning it all. Outside of thinking Rupert had the idol, which could have been strategic anyways, he's pretty much taken and beaten anyone he wants. If he was just a little bit more likeable in the non-game move situations he'd be the clear favorite to win the money. I just don't see people wanting to give him the money, just like the last time.

I think that building relationships while also building alliances is a major part of the game and that's why Russell isn't as good of a player as he thinks even though he's got the strategy down to a science.

he has been reckless, but richard in the first season one by being a slimeball all the way until the end. he did the right thing by taking someone who hadn't done jack shit to the final so that people would have no choice but to vote for him.

same thing with brian in thailand.

the opposite happened with scout in pearl islands, when she could've taken johnny fairplay and instead took sandra. because scout was so hated by this time, taking johnny probably would have given her a bit of an edge because everyone hated fairplay so much. but sandra was an easy pick over scout.

russell made the same mistake last time. he could've taken that dude and at least showed that he was willing to put himself through the fire; but that other guy stabbed some backs too. natalie hadn't done anything wrong to anyone, really.

russell's best bet if he made it to the final would be to take colby and shut his mouth. nobody in their right mind would vote for colby. he has been absolutely useless in this season and i think everyone knows that. at least they'd give russell credit that he was crafty while colby just "got through".

obvious but good move by sandra to go ahead and use her immunity idol, even though i believe rupert was going anyway. may as well use it because it's the last time you can.

i totally see parvati winning this whole thing. she now has the numbers, and whomever she takes to the final, i think it's pretty fair to say she'd get the most support from the jury.

You have to look at the Jury so far. I think honestly it is going to come down to Sandra and Parvarti with Sandra winning it. I do think that Parvarti made alot better moves so far but I think the Jury as of right now is filled with people that just don't like Parvarti. Hopefully P still wins it, because out of everyone she has played the best game.

Oh and Colby can go fuck himself. Yelling at his brother like that during the challenge. He sounded like an idiot. The guy is useless.

that's why i'd bring colby to the final two if i could. he's been useless, a total shell of himself, *and* he's been a douchebag. that brother thing was so uncalled for. probst tried to make light of it but you could even tell he was like..."the hell"?

colby's been the first out of so many challenges it's not even funny. i hate the guy now.

Im just looking forward to the day that Russell goes home. Judging by his face at the reunion show(previous season) he was crushed. Im tired of him calling the women on the show bitches and acting like he is the greatest player ever. Fuck that little gnome.

the women have played better than the men in this game. a lot of the guys have been very self-entitled and acted immaturely while the women have sat back and watched them fall apart. as much as i don't like parvati, i'd have no problem seeing her win it all. sandra...i don't know. she hasn't really played that much. she's flipped a few times when she had to but she's been a hangers-on too.

So much for my thinking that Sandra had the inside track - I didn't know the rules forced her to play the idol this week. Although she probably would have had to play it anyway since people were gunning for her.

Why are players talking so much about "the final three"? Did I miss something - does the jury vote for three players now?

Parvati is one serious player. I wish I'd watched the season where she won.

In several seasons they have had 3 go before the jury for the final vote to win. It appears that this will be one of those, with 5 players left and 3 tribals on Sunday.

Personaly, I thought Russell should have won last season, and I hope he wins this one.

Sunday should be interesting. I would not be surprised to see Jeri
sneak into the final 3 somehow. She has been stepping up her game
in the challenges of late. Colby yelling at his brother was a total
douchebag move on his part. The guy just flew halfway around the world
to help you out and by the looks of it he wasn't exactly throwing the
water in a tight pattern. I would think Pavarti has to be the favorite
now but anything can happen. I would say Colby has almost no chance
and Russell would need a miracle to get to the very end. If anyone
could pull it off though, it would be him.
