well, there are no more immunity idols so really at this point the only way russell's getting to the final 3 is by winning immunity.

down the stretch a lot of the challenges are "endurance" challenges, and parvati has some kind of freaking zen thing going on because the girl can concentrate extremely well, and stay balanced.

but i can't wait for sunday regardless. this has been an absolutely awesome season.

I disagree with that. Russel seems to have Jerri in his back pocket for some reason. And I think Pavarti will consider it strategic to keep Russell because she could probably beat him at the final.

maybe; sandra may try to throw some shit around to get russell off. she could get colby to go with her, and jerri is still a swing vote. i don't think jerri is *really* in russell's back pocket. you may be right, though. russell could have it made to the final 3. but i can't see him winning it with parvati also going to the finals.

doug, was courtney in your league? or too skinny/flat?

I don't see why Russell wouldn't make it to the final 3. The way he has pissed everyone off, I can't see him getting the votes to win. If I was any of the other finalists, I'd love to be standing next to him at the end.

Depending on who wins immunity, I'd say Colby and Parvati are the next 2 gone. Without immunity, I think Parvati's chance would be if the 3 women decide to go to the final 3 together and see what happens, but if I'm Jerri or Sandra, I wouldn't want that.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I'm still amazed at how bad Colby is at every damn thing they do. Physical, mental, stamina, whatever.... he sucks at them all.

Survior Finale tonight. I see things going like this.

Colby out first, than Jerry, than Russell, than Pav and Sandra making it to the final two(if they just do final two)

With the BIG WINNER being

Sandra.

Good call Chris.

I hate that she won, I don't think she was deserving at all. Pavarati or Russell were way more deserving.

But I loved this season!

wow chris good job!

i was shocked to see sandra win. but again, russell at that key moment, failed again. yeah he's right that he shouldn't "Tell everyone what they want to hear" but to be surprised that the jury looks at him as if he's "done something wrong" is just self unaware arrogance. You have to know what you did and why you did it, and you can do all of that without being sorry. Parvati's speech was much better, but she unfairly was deemed "under Russell's thumb". That was not the case, really. Russell isn't a closer in this game and again failed to someone who kind of waltzed in just like Natalie last season. And now Sandra gets to be declared the "best" survivor because she's won it 2 times. BOTH times...she was *taken* to the finals and won because the others weren't liked as much.

For the game, it was a stupid victory. Goes along with Vecepia and Natalie, that these were hangers on who just got lucky enough to keep their mouth shut. HOWEVER...Sandra seems like a decent person and stuff, so I was happy for her.

I didn't see all of the reunion show so I don't know if she was gloating about it or whatever. But to be fair, at least she did try to do some stuff in this season. She was stupidly mistrusted by the Heroes and really they were morons to believe Russell.

But yeah this has by far been the most compelling and entertaining season yet.

She was asked if she was the best player of all time now that she is the only person to win 2 times and she said yes without a doubt. I don't care if she has won 2 times, she is not the best player of all time. I don't even know if she is in the top 10.

yeah she's delusional if she thinks she's the best player of all time. you look at the great players and she doesn't even come close. i don't know...i was happy for her last night but the more i think about it the less i feel about that. parvati deserved it. russell should have taken jerri; he actually should have taken jerri and colby if he really wanted to have the odds to win. who the hell would've given those two votes? i'm glad his plot backfired to get a "guaranteed" vote from jerri. that made no sense. even though...heh, she said she'd give him her vote at her vote-out confessional. then she voted for parvati i think.

maybe it's just the fact that we just got through all this but i really don't need to see any of these guys back on another "survivor" again. i'm so done with most of them.

People say that Sandra was lucky to be there but I think Russell and Parvarti were even luckier. Both Tyson and JT made stupid plays that had nothing to do with skill that saved Russell and Parvati. Sandra's biggest move, if you believe the editing they do, was to try and join up with the heroes and get rid of Russell. That plan failed because of Candice and yet Sandra was still able to survive.

Russell did not deserve to win. He showed a complete lack of understanding of the game. The goal is to get the jury votes at the end and not simply to finish. He wasn't the most deserving because he completely failed in that aspect of the game. It would be like a football coach claiming they should have won the game because they scored 40 points and they don't care about the other aspect of the game so they don't care they gave up 45 points.

I agree with you and I hope that no one gets brought back again from this season except possibly for Survivor 50 which is the series finale and they bring back the all stars who are still alive and not in wheel chairs.

I really think Pavarati was the most deserving.

I think Russell made a good point on the show that Sandra was a failure at every level of this game and yet she still won. It is kinda ridiculous that someone can be bad at every level of the game and yet win it 2 times. She was awful at the physical stuff. She has never won a competition in either season. That is amazing. She was bad at the relational aspect of the game. And she was bad at the strategy side of the game. She said her best strategy was to try and get Russell out from the beginning, yet he was sitting next to her at the final.

IMO Pavarati was good at all 3 aspects of the game. I just have no clue how you can sit on the jury and hear their answers and think about their game and give your vote to Sandra over Pavarati.

i agree, RF, that parvati deserved to win. but BR is right that russell lacks the finishing method. you do have to "plead" to win sometimes, and he won't do it. you have to get votes to win the game, and in both finals he didn't do it right. he's like the opposite of amanda. neither could finish but for exactly the opposite reasons.

Yeah I agree about Russell as well, even though I enjoyed watching his game. I wish Rob would have been in the game longer to see him and Russell square off some more.

One thing I was surprised never seemed to come up was that there were 2 former winners in the final, and usually people make a point of that fact trying to point out that they do not need the money. But I guess in reality there were 3 millionaires in the final with Russell being so successful in his business.

Don't think you are giving Russell enough credit. He suckered Colby and Rupert, thereby short cutting any chance Sandra had to back door him.

Russell has made way more good moves then bad. And everyone else (except Jeri) has already won the million. Don't think that that won't come out to the jury (should he make it)

oh and it totally threw me last night when jeff made a quick tribute to jenn lyon, who died this year. she was only 37 years old.

what's sad is that i had no idea who the hell she was at first because one thing about this show is after it's over i forget a lot of the people that played. and she was in the final four of Survivor: Palau, the one that Tom won.

Huh? WTF are you talking about? How did Tyson's dumb play have nothing to do with Russel's skill? Russel pulled the guy to the side and told him he was voting off Parvarti and that is the ONLY reason Tyson changed his vote. Tyson getting voted out had 100% everything to do with Russel's skill.

as for JT, once again you are way off base. JT would've never given Russel the idol if Russel didn't spend the 3 previous challenges making doe eyes at JT behind everyone else's back.

Both of those stupid plays were a direct result of Russel's skills. Your statement could not be more incorrect.

No matter how you slice it Tyson made an incredibly dumb move. If Tyson votes with his alliance's wishes, there is no way that he goes home. They found footage with Russell saying something but Tyson's dumb move was his own choice and nothing more. Russell had very little, if anything, to do with it.

 The only reason they did that was because they assumed it was an all-girl alliance. It had nothing to do with secret messages. He probably didn't even know JT had an idol until it was handed to him.

As usual, idiotic attempts at logic from BR. Tyson was going to follow Rob's plan. Tyson had a convo with Russell where Russell convinced him to vote for Parvati instead. Tyson goes to tribal and does exactly what Russell tells him to do. Tyson goes home. Boilermaker Rick claims that Russell had nothing to do with this?

Heroes tell Jeff Probst at the challenge that they believe there is an all girl alliance. Russell uses this knowlege and plays it up at subsequent challenges by exchanging glances with JT. JT uses this info to come up with his plan to give Russel the idol.

Seriously, are you this stupid on purpose Rick?

Russell said he was voting for Parvati. He probably said that to others 10 other times in the season. So yes, Russell did have something to do with it but that was entirely a mistake by Tyson. It's not a strategy to tell someone else on the other side a lie and then for that person to make a stupid decision. I can't give credit to Russell for being the beneficiary of one of the dumbest plays in Survivor history. You do realize that these things are edited heavily and that Russell likely made the same statements multiple times during the game. It's a coincidence at best that Tyson voted for Parvarti after Russell said that. If I'm remembering correctly, the vote was to go 3-3 and whoever didn't play the idol would go home. By Tyson voting for Parvarti she would go home regardless of Russell's vote because it would be 4-2. Russell's vote would have meant 5 votes instead of 4 and wouldn't matter. Even if he never talks to Russell, he likely makes the same stupid decision because he didn't even need Russell's vote and quite honestly, if Russell did actually vote for Parvati it's 4-3 anyways and she goes home.

So, besides telling Russell he was going to make a vote against Parvati that would have been meaningless as soon as Tyson changed his vote what exactly did Russell do?

It was stupidity by Tyson not a great play by Russell.

So you are saying that is was Russell's goal to get them to give him the idol? Oh my! He sent glances! Every challenge they had people looking at each other and trying to pass messages. Most of these people knew each other from the reunion shows in the past anyways. Stephanie basically said as much. I can't believe you are saying it's a great strategic move by Russell to let the heroes make a wrong guess on something and then give the idol to the enemy. Once again, this was one of the dumbest moves in Survivor history. If you want to talk strategy start talking about Parvarti using two idols to save her alliance or getting Candice to vote with them. Don't mention the dumbest move in Survivor history, at least according to the fan vote.
shakes wrote:

No. It's natural. However, I'm not the one giving Russell credit for others making two of the dumbest moves in history. Who gets the credit for James leaving the game with two idols also?

That actually would have been my pick for the dumbest move but I think it lost out because of how the others happened more recently.

And one more thing, if Russell was really making a strategic play he wouldn't have let Tyson get voted out because it was clear that Tyson was a possible candidate to swing over to their side if he wasn't looking to get rid of Russell when he could have.

Parvati deserved it & she looked great on the reunion show. But not as good as Amanda.
