"I would sit him down and tell him that 'hey, LeBron, we are going to win with you or without you - do you want to be a part of this or not?' You have to be confident. I really feel that winning is what is important to LeBron, so you just have to approach it as the Bulls are going to win, and if it's not LeBron it's Chris Bosh or Joe Johnson."

My only guess is that Spiegel needed to get back to Chicago, to do his cover band work, and pulled the naked McNeil with Swieca pictures out as blackmail for Dan to choose him as a cohost, so he could earn a few buck, get some insurance, and grace the airwaves with his lower than meatball at the tavern thoughts.

Also enjoyed hearing him talk about Tallon's new gig in Carolina, with the Panthers. Then, as his balls are being busted by his boss, still not understand what he said wrong.

Mac needs a new cohost asap. He is starting to become more and more of a meatball. He will say stupid shit all the time now and hope some of it sticks.

Since the producing team loves to play audio clips from this show, all the time, maybe the producer that has been getting ripped on for his big head (by Spiegel) will load up this clip for Bernstein to tear apart during transition today?

Spiegel will do what he always does, he'll play the I'm just a fan card and not apologize for getting caught up in the fun of sports.

What did he say that got his balls busted? I was only able to listen for a few minutes of the "interview"

I have an opinion on what's happening with Speigs. Personally, the reason I love B&B is because of Dan. The reason I enjoy listening to Dan, is because I typically agree with stance on sports, but more importantly, he is one of the few hosts in Chicago who doesn't think like everyone else thinks. He brings a different angle to stories that are different from the Trib, the Sun Times and the other radio shows.

It's my opinion, that Meat is trying to be similar. He wants to bring some "different takes" to the air, but they seem to continually backfire. Instead of being interesting or different, they end up being silly (like what he said about recruiting LBJ today). He really didn't use to do this at all... it seems more of a recent thing I am noticing more and more. But it's starting to bother me.

Sounds like Mac needs to put the reigns on Meatpants like he did with Harry.

Are you talking about Mac or Spiegel here? your description fits both.

I was talking about Spiegel. Mac has always been a meatball. But not the idiotic type of that does not make any sense.

I kinda have no problem with Meatpants. He has gotten "better" since his tumoltous debut.

He can be a strange dude with what he says, his tone and where he takes interviews and such. It just so happens that he has gotten a bit stranger as of late.

When a Bahston sports fan says 'we', he means the Celtics.

If Spiegle were in change of wooing LeBron, Tributeasaurus woud change their June gig from whatever it is to Jay Z
