Not that Quentin or Teahan are great, but Kotsay still isn't a 5 hitter.

Alexei has been pretty hot as of late, he should/could have been moved up.

If Randy Williams is on the roster when I wake up tomorrow morning I'm going to find a baby and beat the living fuck out of it.

Nice outing by Pena. Now give me some Santos, Thornton and Putz and get on the plane for Tampa.

Unfortunately, when Mark Buehrle threw his equipment after the second balk, Keyser, he was going to get ejected.

Yep. I suspect this was his last day as a White Sox pitcher and that they will be calling up Embree for a look.

The lineup is in for tonight's opener of a 4 game weekend series vs. the Drew Carey-looking Joe Maddon and the Rays at "The Trop". Here's the lineup Jeff Niemann will be dealing with:

1 Juan Pierre LF
12 A.J. "Are you leaving?" Pierzynski C
51 Alex Rios CF
14 Paul Konerko 1B
7 Mark Kotsay DH
25 Andruw Jones RF
23 Mark "Paging Brent Morel..." Teahen 3B
10 Alexei Ramirez SS
15 Gordon "You're not going to Charlotte" Beckham 2B

Gavin Floyd does the chucking for the Sox in the opener of this series.

Good work, SHARK. I don't think Morel will be ready until next year but Teahen is on notice.

That was a nice job by Floyd. I thought for sure they would score 2 or 3 runs that inning. Now how about putting a couple hits together against Cy Niemann.

Guys, don't be shocked if Jayson Nix starts at third base for the White Sox this eve. The Rays are starting lefty David Price this eve at "The Trop", and I think the reason why Nix is on this roster is almost exclusively as Mark Teahen's backup at third base.

Good call, Shark (again). JaYson Nix (his number should be six) is in the lineup tonight. Kotsay also gets the night off.

This team is incredibly bad at situational hitting. 1st and 3rd with no outs and they don't score a run. I know Price is a tough pitcher but Rios HAS to put the ball in play. This could be a looooooooooooooooooooong night.

Alex Rios and Ramon Castro (?) both homered, and Gordon Beckham had 2 hits, including an RBI single, that sealed the deal in the White Sox 4-2 winner over the Rays at "The Trop". By the way, good seats available at the home of the team with the best record in Bud Selig's Major League Baseball and the worst piece of monkey crap for a ballpark.

Beckham has been hangin out liners all over the yard, SHARK. That was a nice win. Every time you think Freddy is done he turns in a gem. Love that Joey stuck with Thornton in the 9th. They gotta take it to my boy Wade Davis tonight to ensure a series split.

Ugly win but they'll take it. 2-2 at Tampa and 4-3 on the road trip. Peavy picks up the W and Nix (his number should be six) hits a HUGE home run.

Hawkeye, the White Sox are minus their closer right now. Despite all the trade rumors, Bob Jenks' quad has kept him sidelined the last few days. I have a feeling the Sox will have to do something before their game tomorrow night vs. Texas if Jenks' quad and Mark Teahen's injured finger on his throwing hand keep them sidelined for a certain time.

The White Sox return home to host the Rangers this eve in the first of three. For what it's worth, here's the lineup Rich Harden will be dealing with:

1 Juan Pierre LF
12 A.J. "On the Move?" Pierzynski C
51 Alex "Should be an All-Star" Rios CF
14 Paul "Anaheim Bound?" Konerko 1B
7 Mark Kotsay DH
20 Carlos Quentin RF
10 Alexei Ramirez SS
11 Omar "Retiring?" Vizquel 3B
15 Gordon "No Swoon in June" Beckham 2B

Mark Buehrle does the chucking for the Sox, and hopefully Joe West will be nowhere near "The Cell"

That was a hell of a job pitching out of that without giving up a run however he threw 100 pitches. Better get a couple quick innings. Now hammer this turd bucket Harden.

Buehrle is walking the tightrope tonight. Bases loaded twice and has only given up 1 run. Now how about hangin a couple more runs on shitbag before he hits the showers.
