Cant believe Amare had this in him. Just shows you that hustle is a talent. If he played up to his potential and worked really hard the Suns could have been legit title contenders almost this whole time. Gotta give it to Nash too he's a tough ass dude.

This was our annual reminder of how good he could be. It helped that Gasol/Bynum/Odom played like the series was already over. I know Kobe has to be pissed that he wasn't a performance like that. You still can't trust those guys to come play every night.

Gasol played great on the offensive end and he didnt play terrible on the defensive end. Overall he had a pretty good game. Odom's gonna do what he's gonna do. You know the pluses and minuses with him.

I forgot to mention I find it annoying that the nickname STAT, one of the only cool acronym nicknames in sports, is wasted on Amare Stoudemire. That's a shame.

Raining 3's. If the Lakers can't stop them or beat the zone they will be going fishing in 2 games.

It's borderline embarrassing that the Lakers staff cant manage to break a similar zone to the one we used on my 8th grade team. However, the Lakers defense is more worrisome at this point than their offense I think.

Without a doubt this is a series right now. However, I ultimately see it finishing very similarly to the Thunder series.

They wasted 2 brilliant games by Kobe. He was efficient in both and damn near had a triple double. Not sure how many more games like that he has in him.

Agreed. The personal foul called on Perkins was horrible, and the technical handed out a few seconds later should be investigated. That might be one of the worst ejections I have ever seen, and it's now so much worse because it's the playoffs. Whoever the referree was who made that call should be investigated. Was it Joey Crawford? I know he was in the crew last night.

Eddie Rush. Crawford gave Rondo a T for having a polite conversation with another ref.

I thought he was always referred to as Joey. I've heard him called Joey more than Joe.

Would you like it better if I referred to him as Joseph?

He's talking about the mult.

The mult that was already killed.

I really want someone to plant an elbow in Howard's face or to put him on his ass. He has purposefully thrown elbows and thrown guys to the ground.

The NBA has rescinded the second technical foul called against the Celtics' Kendrick Perkins. He'll be able to play in Game 6 tomorrow in Boston as the C's try again to send the Magic to the golf course for the summer.

As for the other series, the Suns & Lakers play Game 5 in Los Angeles this eve. Would someone like to tell the Suns to play some defense at STAPLES Center?

The Suns aren't really noted for playing defense regardless of what arena it's in

So Kobe missed another game winning shot and was bailed out by a teammate. This is pretty consistent with many of the statistics brought up that he's not better at game winning shots than everyone else in the league. It probably won't stop people from thinking it though.

Suns did a nice job boxing out Artest on that play...

In fact, the Lakers also did a horiffic job grabbing a rebound at the other end when the Suns got those 3 chances to tie the game.

Guys, I really haven't been watching much more than highlights of both
series. What, at this point do you think would make the best Finals
matchup? I would guess Lakers vs Celtics but if Boston loses this next
game maybe it is a toss up in the East. What would you guys like to see?

He's already won 6 games this year at the buzzer. He took a terrible shot but it worked out because he took it quick. That shot had no chance of going in. He has been an assist or rebound short of a triple double the last 3 games. He is playing at a level that I never would have expected.
