As far as I know, Ozzie lobbied for a team with speed and not for these particular players. I doubt we will know for sure, but I doubt that Ozzie individually picked out Kotsay, Tehan, and Pierre.

I've said it all along that Tehan seemed like a head scratcher, given the direction the team was going in and Getz' skill set. Now Getz is playing horribly as well, but at the time, a speedy, efficient player with #2 hitter skills looked like just what Ozzie would have wanted.

I think Anthony John Pierzynski's a goner, but it doesn't necessarily mean that Tyler Flowers will necessarily be called up once the White Sox send A.J. on his way.
