but this has continued...this is the 2nd of the 3 games now that we've seen the bears do absolute Sshit on offense and give the ball away like its a hot potato. i know the bears are still a good team (not sure if i can say great right this second..) but there still is cause for concern..

grossman is far from the only reason they lost, but he shares as much of the blame as anyone.

That's damn near half the points scored by the Dolphins, caused by one person. Rex needs to grow up a lot and quickly.

Nas, this loss was a failure on both sides of the pigskin. Ronnie Brown wins the Edgar Bennett award for his 160 yards versus the Bears "vaunted" defense. Puh-fucking-lease.

When I hear the Bears are overrated tonight on Sunday Night Football, I won't be able to say much in response.

Agreed. Angelo should cut him, and then run him over in the parking lot as he's leaving.

hey, if they play like this in another 4 or 5 games, they might not be going to the playoffs...or if they do, on the road as a wild card.

nas, you're really sounding too much like the tiny one here. dont get me wrong, i love the bears and im behind them 100%. they've had a great run so far and 7-1 is an awesome spot to be at, but there is plenty of cause for concern. i think for anyone (including myself quite honestly) to take them seriously as a legit super bowl contender, they have to win 4 of these next 5 games.

To me what you are failing to realize it's not the first game they have played like crap. We were lucky to win at Min & Arizona. You can't play like crap, make the same mistakes, and expect to win in the playoffs.

Hester and dropped balls by the WR. Moose had a TD in the 1st quarter and dropped it. He had another easy 1st down but dropped it. The play of Justin Gage speaks for itself

Anyone who has 4 turnover's in a game is the number 1 reason why you lost. Hester had one fumble which cancelled out the terrible interception Rex threw for a td.

Moose made a great play to go up and get the ball on the TD. It was basically a jump ball and suprisingly he actually won one for once.

Rex should not be benched but how many games like this can he have before it would be alright too? We will play much better defenses in the playoffs and if Rex has 4 turnovers we have no chance to win(unless Dennis Green is the opposing coach)

i dont care what the PPG is gonna say, after today, the bears do not have the best offense in the NFC, let alone the league.

and if hester keeps dropping Ffucking balls, they wont have the best special teams either.

Why would they have to win 4-5 of to be a SB contender? Do they need to finish 14-2 to be considered a good team? Did you have them going 7-1 to this point? Did you think the would have the best offense, defense and special teams?

I don't think X amount of games have to be won. I'd be happy with them playing better. If they lose a well played game because of who had the last posession, blown call, or even 1 big play I can accept that. What I can't deal with is watching the absolute poop that was on the field today.

What you guys keep failing to realize is that this is 1 loss. Every team usually has at least 1. After every loss you can say the same thing. "If we play this way again, we won't win another game." It happens. Why can't you guys see that?

Because for all intents and purposes it should be their 2nd if not 3rd loss. If Urlacher doesn't play out of his fucking mind in Arizona, and Minnesota doesn't slit its throat with penalties, the Bears are 5-3. Yeah, the point is they DID win those games, but it's true that they've given teams a blueprint for beating them. Imagine what Belicheck's gonna throw at them.

I thought our problem in the Vikings game was our defense.

Edit: Good call on the penalties too.

This is going to be an interesting week of sports radio...callers calling for Brian Griese, Rex Grossman now sucks, the defense got run over by Ronnie Brown, questionable coaching (running the ball, taking their time down with 6 minutes to go in the 4th), expect Boers and Berstein to call for more Cedric Benson, Thomas Jones bashing during the week....not to mention, they play at the Giants next Sunday night, and will probably be underdogs...

The plot thickens!

The idiots will be calling in this week.

I hope this was a wake up call for the bears and we go out and crush the second best team in the NFC. Next game is big, we need a good turn around.

The Bears will ABSOLUTELY be 'dogs for the next three games.

I don't feel comfortable (or sane) saying the Bears will win any of the games they are "supposed" to win from this day on.

I know there is parody in this league, but Christ the Bears played like poop today. Sorry for my strong language.

Nas,
You'd be the guy on the Titanic saying, "Hey, at least the band's still playing!"

The Bears beat Miami 9 times out of 10! Great! I feel much better now.

I can't remember the Cleveland game...
We lost to Pit because they were better and started their streak that week
We lost to Min because the game didn't matter. The starters were out by the half.

The Bears will not be UNDERDOGs vs. the Jets - they will be at least a 4 to 5 point favorite vs. the Jets.

As for your second comment, you can say that about any team - every team loses games that they should win on paper.

No I'm with the Bears, to the SB or losing the next 9 games. I never said Rex should be replaced...he needs to make better decisions especially under pressure.

No Nas, we're just realists.

Team lose. There is no denying that, but this team played like crap today, just like in Arizona.

I will accept a loss against a good team, like what you will see against the Giants and the pats, but a poorly played game against a bad team is not acceptable. No one changed their game plans, they just ran out the same shit, play after play.

I still support the Bears and I still support Rex Grossman. I am sure you were saying the same things about Kyle Orton so don't start with the whole "You are fairweather fans if you don't support the players". Rex has had 2 terrible games, one which we lost badly to a 1-6 team and the other we beat in a record setting collapse. Why do we not have the right to question Rex after playing 2 of the worst games a QB has in the NFL this season?

I don't think many people are calling for Rex to be replaced. I most certainly am not, but if he plays that bad next week, can he be benched? What about the next week? How many bad games does he get to have before us "fair weather" fans can dare question Rex?

Nas, answer this question. How many 4 turnover games would it take for you to think we could bench Rex? What if he has a similar game against the Giants? What about New England? What about in a playoff game where we lose and we are out?

Exactly.

Rex should not be replaced.

The Bears, and Grossman did not play well today, but it's one game. That's it.

You're always quick to throw out that "fair weather" label. You did it to me with the Sox too. Whose job am I calling for? I don't think questioning my favorite team for playing like dog shit is being fair weathered, and frankly I take offense at the term. You seem to be on an island here, but I don't see people lining up to mock your kool aid drinking blind faith in everything blue and orange. You're optimistic. Great. But don't label me some bandwagon jumper, because I have the audacity to question an organization on a horribly played, horribly coached performance.

if the bears are as good as you say they are nas, the bears should win this game 99 out of 100 times, not just 90%.

im not a fairweather fan at all. i love my team...i just see many problems with them.

are they as bad as they were in the first half against arizona or as they played today? no. are they as good as that 7-1 mark? probably not.

what are you gonna say after last weeks win? 41-0 at halftime...hell i might have even turned it off.

why didnt i say anything before today? i believe i did...i thought the bears would win fairly easily. i never thought the bears would go 16-0, but i wouldnt have fingered this game as an L either.
