If the Sox have NO intention of re-signing Paul Konerko, they should deal him to the Angels - a team that he'd play for - seeing as Kendry Morales is Mr. Glass from Unbreakable.

Blow this shit up....

...again, this is if there's no way Paulie will re-sign with the southsiders.

Get something while you can.

It makes a lot of sense for the White Sox to send Paul Konerko to the Angels, in part because I believe he's got a house out there during the offseason and Anaheim (NOT LOS ANGELES!) is hurting for offense in the wake of Kendry Morales' potentially season ending knee injury. This despite the Garth Brooks-looking Angels' manager Mike Scioscia claiming today that Morales could possibly be back in September. I'm not so sure about that.

The Anaheim Angels are one of those teams that Konerko would waive his no-trade clause. I think the time has come for the White Sox to strongly consider trading away these veteran ballplayers that they likely won't sign, and I think Konerko is one of those guys you better enjoy watching now before it's too late.

The Sox have 15 home games and 12 road games in June. The home games are against Texas, Cleveland, Detroit, Atlanta and Cubs. The roadies are against the Cubs, Pittsburgh, Washington and Royals. NO WAY Kenny blows this up with such an easy stretch of games. Come July 1 the Sox could be .500 or better and Kenny will be a buyer instead of a seller. Yes, I have been drinking.

Keyser, these White Sox haven't shown they can win more than 2 or 3 in a row at any one point this season. By the way, the Pirates are no gimme! Ask the team 8.1 miles north of U.S. Cellular Field! The Nationals are decent, and may have Stephen Strasburg waiting in the wings when the White Sox visit Nationals Park in a couple weeks. Kenny's a seller! There's no doubt in my mind...

Newper, there's not a damn thing worth calling up from Charlotte right now. Then again, the White Sox may have no choice depending on the injury status with third baseman Mark Teahen & closer Bob Jenks before tomorrow night's game vs. the Rangers.

SHARK, I meant who do you want from the Angels organization for trading Konerko? Obviously, you must want someone within their org.

Hendry better damn well make a call to the Angel. D Lee would wave his no trade to go to California.

Oh, and one more thing; Slick's a prick.

Okay, but Anaheim's a lot closer to Scottsdale than Chicago...  That being said, the only guys the White Sox CAN'T TRADE are Jake Peavy & Alex Rios, Joe. I don't think you can get a 24 pack of Miller Lite for either Peavy or Rios...

You may get a six pack of PBR for both, if you throw in a sack of balls.

Agreed. I really don't see Kenny Williams blowing this up so early even though the season is on life support, being 8 games back. They have to win 10 of those 15 home games, and go at least .500 on the road. If they do that, they will be very close to .500 going into July, and Williams may actually try to find a DH, 2B, or RF (Quentin and Beckham have a month to do something and Kotsay shouldn't be batting 5th in any lineup). Chances are, this team will continue to do what it's been doing, win a series, lose a series, and if they are still 7 or 8 games (or worse) out heading into July, Williams shut start shedding payroll.

There are no easy games this year for either Chicago team.

Then again, the Halos could slide their shitty catcher/solid power hitter Mike Napoli over to first base.

Have a little faith, SHARK-AROO! Pittsburgh blows! They're 15-30 against the rest of baseball and Strasburg is only 1 game. This is the time to make some hay my friend. Yes, I'm still drinking.

I blame the disastrous White Sox season so far on the METRODOME.

You guys are talking about playing really well to get back to .500 by July. .500 by July is a bad record. Oh, and if the Twins only play .500 baseball this month that will still put the Sox 5.5 games back. I believe there is a statistic out there that teams who are that far back on July 1 have something like a 10% chance at the division...and the Tigers are also ahead of them.

Sox are sunk. I'm sorry to rain on parades but this season is over.

Blow it up and we'll see what Williams can do with next year. I'm not with Ranger on his opinion that the Sox won't get anything for the players they want to trade. I think they will get something nice for Konerko and one of their bullpen arms.

That is IF the Twins play .500 this month. You know, that Twin team with the same record as the Yankees.

IF the Twins play 1 game under from here on out. (They wont), The Sox will need to go 64-48 to tie. (They wont)

The Twins have 15 road games and 12 home games in June. They open July with 4 games against TB at home then go to Toronto and Detroit for 6 games before the all-star break. That's not a very easy schedule, GD.

I tried watching a couple of games Bob. I fell asleep sitting up.

I'm afraid if I try attending the crosstown series this year, I'll slip into a comatose state trying to watch double the boring baseball.

Just back up the truck on both sides of town and unload all this excess salary and/or veteran underachievers.
