Inquiring minds want to know so I'm right here for you.

I signed off on both long before the trip was booked. Family first. Sucks Jay isn't here for it, but it couldn't be helped. I miss his leadership and hockey camaraderie but he has a daughter now and I'm very happy for him.

As for Matt, he has some business to attend to, including singing. Today's show was seamless with split locations and I couldn't be happier with Eddie O co-hosting for the first two hours tomorrow. It's hockey week. Spiegs would be with me if were in L.A. for the Bulls in the NBA Finals, but they're not and won't be next June either.

As for ratings.... it's just one week but we got the second week of May PPMs Tuesday. Mully and Hanley 4th adult men. Mike and Mike out of Top 10. DMS 4th to W&S's 10th. Saloon was 14th. B&B 4th. The only stations ahead of all three shows are two Spanish stations and the Drive. Good summer for me. Came back to the Score to earn a living and in doing so, make ESPN a parking lot. They're a rumor again, as they were when I left the Score in October of 2000. Good times.

In Magnus's airplane photo in another thread, I could swear the guy in the middle seat next to the real big fellas is Silvy. Check it out.

I took back my thoughts on Spiegal.

These cretins had me believing he wasnt On the Air.

I got no problem with pulling a "Salisbury" every so often. Meaning, out of towning it. Not showing your penis to strangers.

And I would NEVER question what Jay is doing. I may even quesiton if he WERE on the show.

Mac, why couldn't Jay Z call in to the station a coupe of times each day to contribute his Hockey acumen to the shows? Everyone does some work even while on vacation these days. The station misses his expertise.

It sounded good and was rather seemless.

All I am saying is that this week represents a golden career opportunity for Jay Z to increase his on air exposure with his Hockey expertise. He could call in to the station when the Baby is sleeping. They sleep alot you know.

You make it sound like by him calling in for a few mins he would suddenly be prompted to some great job. Not happening. Sure he could call in, but he isn't and he don't have to. He is doing exactly what he should be doing and his career path will not be affected at all.

There are 24 hours in a day. The world has changed with mobile offices and all. I never miss a day of e-mails of voice mails while on vacation. I want to make sure that my business is running smoothly & getting done. But that's just me.

I didn't reply to you, I was joining in the discussion on someone calling into work on their vacation. I didn't even quote anyone in my original post...

I contend there are - at the very least - a handful of better, more apt names to consider than either of those.

If you want good Hockey talk then listen from 9 to 1, not 1 to 6.

Hockey talk is boring. I'll wait til a rounded show comes on.

Well if it's round you want, then you'll definitely have to wait for Spiegel to get back on the airwaves.

Do they pay you extra to be both host and program director, Daniel? Although I guess if you have the actual PD wrapped around your finger the way you do, you can 'sign off' on things like that. And as long as you are ok with it, it's ok.

As far as your producer, very strange that you have to rely so heavily on a behind the scenes guy for your on-air content. Isn't a producer suppose to produce? Good for him for taking the time that he gets off, just leave it at that. Or Big Dog it and proclaim that you signed off on it.
