That lineup is awful. I can't believe I thought the startinig pitching (which has also sucked) would overcome that.

BD, there's NOTHING in the minors worth calling up. Brent Morel is hitting about .097 since getting promoted to Triple "A" Charlotte from Double "A" Birmingham. C.J. Retherford's not doing much better for the Barons since getting demoted. Besides, the book on Tyler Flowers is that he can't throw squat! If A.J.'s dealt, your catchers will then become Ramon Castro and Donny Lucy. Nothing to write home about either way.

I don't disagree. I do think we're going to want to see Tyler Flowers and Dyan Viceido for 2-3 months of regular MLB playing time to see what we have (or don't have), but I'm not expecting to be overwhelmed by either.

That stat I was referring is that the White Sox after a "W" are only 4-19. That's not winning baseball by any means...

They're now 5-20 after a "W" this season...I don't think the White Sox have won more than 3 in a row at any one point. Besides, the lineup will look a little different tomorrow, and not just because the White Sox won't have the DH in the National League park as we all know. Omar Vizquel is leaving the team for a couple days to attend to some family matters in his native Venezuela, meaning Jayson Nix starts at third base tomorrow & Saturday for the FOX game.

Watching on WGN, just showed a picture of the sky. Clear to the left and right, but a big dark cloud hanging right over Wrigley Field. Sums up this baseball season.
