I think it will be sooner, and possibly this weekend for A.J....If the team continues to win one, lose one, no winning streak in sight, he's gonig to pull the trigger, he's always been very aggressive and I don't see it being much different with a team like this that will be unloading talent.

There's not much interest in Anthony John Pierzynski after initial rumors of him going to the Rangers. If the Sox traded A.J. right now though, your catchers are Ramon Castro & Donny Lucy would get called up from Triple "A" Charlotte. Why not Tyler Flowers? Because Tyler can't throw the damn ball!

A.J. Pierzynski has been told he will not be traded before Monday by manager Ozzie Guillen.

It started earlier this year when someone mentioned that he hits his 10/5 on Monday June 14 and thus gets an automatic no trade.

As would I. If they don't think Flowers can catch next season, A.J. is still a reliable player, but he needs to come cheaper than his current price tag.

Despite being a 10/5 guy, Konerko makes the most sense in terms of a trade at this point. He's having a halfway decent year and would make for a fine DH somewhere. AJ isn't going anywhere until our farm system produces a catcher worth a damn.

Konerko is our only hope of getting a decent prospect back as well. I doubt it's a high level prospect considering the team that picks him up would still owe him $4 million or so for a few months, plus could lose him as a free agent.

I heard this on "The Joker's Wild", I mean Comcast SportsNet's "Chicago Tribune Live", last night. If the White Sox trade Paul Konerko, it's a white flag-type trade.
