I almost forgot...President Obama addresses the nation at 7p on the BP Oil debacle in the Gulf...Not sure if ABC will push the start time of tonight's Game 6 back a few minutes to accommodate our President...

The game starts at 8. The only thing that might be pushed back is Stuart Scott's weird looking eye.

SHARK fail.

No. He figured the name Larry was short For Lawrence.

The president is a DB for this. Any true hoops fan would have known this should be done or Wednesday.

Glenn "Doc" Rivers, the Celtics' head coach, didn't sound optimistic that Kendrick Perkins and his knee sprain would be good to go tomorrow in the winner-take-all Game 7 tomorrow night vs. the Lakers. In fact, when Perkins was helped off the STAPLES Center court, the Celtics' chances of winning the NBA Championship went out with them.

Two stats for Game 7 to chew on in Los Angeles tomorrow night. First, watch the rebounding stat closely. The team that has won the rebounding battle has gone on to win every game in these Finals. Second, the Lakers have a pretty good chance to claim their second straight NBA Championship on their home floor. In the history of the NBA Finals, 13 home teams have won the winner-take-all Game 7. The last NBA Final to go to a Game 7 came in 2005 when the Spurs beat the Pistons in San Antonio.

For what its worth SHARK the team that has scored the most points in each game of this series has gone on to win that game....Food for thought.....Chum in the water if you will.

You got that right, Phil, but rebounding has been a key stat in every game of this series...

i think the celtics should try some minutes with rondo and nate robinson on the floor TOGETHER. i think robinsons ability to shoot outside and his crazy energy could loosen up that interior d a bit, and allow for some aggresive runs at the basket by both rondo and robinson. i love the way nate goes to the rim. plus, during key moments in the game, pierce is the one bringing the ball up anyway. im not talking massive minutes, but occasionally. i think those 2 guys along with garnett, pierce and allen could definitely do some damage, driving and finding open shots.

by the way, i have never seen a playoff team EVER as bad at last shot opportunities at the end of the quarter, half or game as this years boston celtics. it is always pierce waiting until there is 4 seconds left to make a move and either he gets off a bad shot, or he dishes to the terminally wide open rajon rondo for a missed j.

Kobe would have a field day in the post.

I believe they are a better team on offense with Nate on the floor. It's obvious Rondo doesn't have any confidence in his shot. Nate forces the Lakers to play honest and with Bynum hurt I believe that gives Boston the edge. Can you live with Nate taking bad shots? That's a huge question. Either way it should be a good game. It will come down to who wants it more.

hes having a field day regardless, but you are right. im thinking more to generate some offense. man did they look old and slow last night. but they looked like that in game 1, too, and then they came out strong in game 2.

you are absolutely right. rondo HAS to start taking those shots, and im not just talking in this series. if he cant make WIDE OPEN 12-15 footers regularly and making free throws, that will always keep him from being a true GREAT point guard. i have never seen a guard purposely ignored like we saw last night. it was really odd to see defenders DESERTING him. thats rare in the NBA.

Why does it matter if Perkins is out? Bynum is a better player and no one cared that he was playing on one leg. I believe the Celtics are better team with Wallace in the lineup. He spreads the court and is a willing defender.

You werent watching the same game I wasnt really watching last night if you think Sheed spreads the floor. And he's not a more willing defender, it probably just seems that way because you saw him completely mail in the first 80 games of the season. Perkins is one of the best post defenders in the league. They need him in this series, especially in a big game like tomorrow nights.

are you seriously claiming Wallace is in the same league as Perkins as a defender????

c'mon Hova......at this point all Wallace really wants to do is jack up 3's

I said he was a willing defender and that is true. While he isn't as good of a defender his length will cause more problems. What they lose on defense they gain even more on offense.
