Does Freddy consider this a big game, because I do.

If it weren't for TV, would anyone see the game. I bet this is a red hot ticket in Pittsburgh.

Good seats are available at PNC Park for this one...  Besides, Laurence Holmes is playing the role of Chris Rongey with pre & postgame duties along the TOYOTA Chicago White Sox Radio Network tonight. I hope LoHo knows how to do rain delay theater as well. Thunderstorms are forecast this eve in Pittsburgh...

Larry's rain delay theater will prominently involve discussion of his mom

LoHo was bragging last night on his show about an 8-1 record when he pinch hits for the Ranger as pre & postgame host on the Sox Radio Network...Anyway, the Sox start this portion of their road trip facing a pitcher they've never faced before. He's Brad Lincoln, and usually, no-name pitchers look like Cy Young vs. the Southsiders...

Great, new pitcher tonight plus Strasburg on Friday. Good times for the Southsiders indeed

Actually, SJ, the White Sox are scheduled to face Mr. Strasburg Saturday...Why do you think FOX Sports scheduled the Sox/Nats' game as one of their "Saturday Baseball Games of the Week" if Strasburg wasn't the attraction?

My bad, I thought he was going again on Friday, which was leading to the Sox-Nats game on the MLB network. At least it will be a Gavin Floyd start that gets wasted against the kid, and not someone like Danks.

TBS, the network that's now supposed to be "Very Funny", was supposed to air an Interleague game last Sunday between the Phillies & Red Sox in Boston. They cancelled it because Stephen Strasburg was starting in front of a packed house at (Not So) Progressive Field in Cleveland. I think MLB's TV partners, FOX Sports, Turner/TBS Sports, ESPN & MLB Network, want to cash in on the Strasburg mania as much as they can. I think that's why Strasburg starts Saturday, not Friday.

Most likely, the Sox will beat Strasburg on Saturday and then get shut out on Sunday by some other shitbird that the Nats call up from AA for a spot start.

I'm waiting for tonight's lineup, for what it's worth. Here are the rest of the pitching matchups at PNC:

Wednesday, 6:05p Comcast SportsNet, WSCR 670
John Danks (5-5, 3.27 ERA) v. Zach Duke (3-7, 5.30 ERA)
Thursday, 6:05p WGN, WSCR 670
Jake Peavy (5-5, 5.62 ERA) v. Ross Ohlendorf (0-4, 4.95 ERA)

So much for that! Stephen Strasburg does go to the bump Friday vs. Mark Buehrle at Nationals Park, although I was under the impression that FOX Sports wanted to feature #37 in Washington white & red on its "Saturday Game of the Week". As for tonight in Pittsburgh, here is tonight's lineup for the White Sox in Pittsburgh:

1 Juan Pierre LF
11 Omar "Are You OK?" Vizquel 3B
51 Alex Rios CF
14 Paul "Hope You Like Anaheim" Konerko 1B
7 Mark Kotsay RF
10 Alexei Ramirez SS
27 Ramon "I Speak Freddy's Language" Castro C
15 Gordon "You're Staying Put!" Beckham 2B
43 Freddy "The Winningest Sox Pitcher...Really?" Garcia P

Freddy let McCutchen steal those 2 bases and now it burned his dumb slow ass. If you're not going to even bother holding the runners close then get the fuckin hitter out. Dick.

2-3 and 3 RBI for Beckham!

I hope Ozzie realizes he has an extremely well rested bullpen and isn't afraid to pull Freddy when he gets in trouble. He's not looking particularly good tonight.

Nice 1-2-3 inning by Putz. This guy has been pitching really good this year. Another nice find by Kenny.

Boy I can't wait for his interview on the Danny Mac show.

I wonder if he'll credit Greg Walker for his big one game resurgance.

Nice win, Boys! Freddy didn't look good but he got the job done again. Bobby Jenks looks like a different pitcher. Keep it going tomorrow, Johnny Danks.

No he didn't giving up two runs right out of the gate against this team. Freddy looked like he burned one a few hours before the game and was enjoying life.

Best thing he did tonight is get a bunt down.

Sanots walks are starting to concern me.

I feel very confident with Danks and Peavy going the next two days.

Me too.

Of course, I could see then losing one of those games 2-1.

I'd be pretty surprised if the Sox swept them because of the offense. There's going to be a game coming up where the starter gives up a 3 or 4 runs in 7 IP, and the offense is unable to muster more than a few runs.
