Andrea Kramer confirms it "Hester hesitated with the ball before running...and then ran for 108 yard return!". I think I can see a future entry in Critics @XL and Who you crappin.

LOL, NBC praises Hester for the brilliant fake

Meanwhile on WBBM, they say one of the Bears coaches was yelling at Hester to stay in the end zone, while Urlacher was screaming at him to go for it and he ended up going for it

Was it Hester who realized he was inside the 10 and let the ball go (going out at the four)? I think it was and I'm very glad to see he did the right thing. No superhero shit with the game largely in hand. Hester is learning.

It's official now...New England is now the first test for the Bears. Buffalo (they called it a test then), Seattle, Giants were not tests...but NEW ENGLAND will show if this team is good!

This is what keeps getting the Bears into trouble. Don't forget about the Jets.

I think they'll beat the Jets, but I sure as hell wouldn't be looking past them. They did beat the Pats today.

Right.. didn't the Jets beat the Pats today? Seems like the next two weeks could be tricky for the bears..

Who was that smart guy?

Hester's 8 yards deep in the end zone. Urlacher's at least 25 yards away from him and Hester's at least 40 yards away from any coaches.

They must be loud yellers.

I'm not sure how much mention this is going to get, but I think that this was one of Peanut Tillman's best games ever. Maybe he was inspired due to Plexiglass' trash talkin.

But earlier in the game it was inside the 10 and he fielded it and got nothing, he had a few stupid plays in this one

So Moose is ok, I assume. I was having an 'oh shit' moment as he was walking towards the locker room, but he seemed alright later when he was running on the sideline with his son.

How about some Mark Bradley love, looks like we may be 4 quality WR deep when Berrian returns.

Well, this will quite all you doom-and-gloomers, I expect? Props to Nas for keeping things in perspective and props to the beloved for proving him right. The Bears laid an egg against Miami; but they're still right there in terms of being the best in the NFC.

There are still 7 games left, and they certainly do have weaknesses, this game doesnt ensure a cakewalk to the SB.

yeah really, ny didn't play that great, still got torched by a good rb. Bears D and running game steps up as usual, but if their kicker wasn't that bad and they weren't that stupid/asleep on the one kick, could easily be a different result

Not to rain on the parade but I still am very afraid of a 4 turnover game from Rex in the playoffs. We will lose that game and that is the season. With that said, he played well today against a good defense. He seemed much more in control today and had good fundamentals on most throws.

This has nothing to do with the game, but, damn, Paula Faris is hot.

Ughh, NBC again, doing interviews and the reactions in bars as if this was a playoff game or something. A big game, but jeez, act like you've been there before Chicago

Fair enough. It's certainly possible for him to play poorly and cost the Bears; we know because we've seen it. But, he's also shown twice now that he can come back from playing poorly and lead the Bears to victory. Hopefully he can cut down on the mistakes in the last 7 games, and can help the Bears get it done in the playoffs. Mainly what tonight told us is that the Bears aren't as bad as they looked against Miami.

In fairness, this game was billed as a huge game both locally and nationally. This game determined who is the top seed in the NFC for the moment. Plus, the local news never has enough filler and almost always does the bar reaction thing.
