Kitty, when I was over at WYIN. He used to do a show there. Also got a Craig Grebeck autograph back around '91 at River Oaks mall. He was very friendly. Gotta go with Peter Mayhew, Chewie back this year too. I can't just pick one. :cheese:

Also got Thurman Thomas and Joe Montana, but they weren't all that friendly.....probably because of the amount of people.

Have a Blackhawks sweater signed by Chris Chelios, Steve Smith, and Gary Suter. My cousin took me to a game and to Cheli's afterwards for my 13th birthday, and all were present. She was a waitress during Bulls games at the Stadium back then and had waited on each of them, so she hooked it up that we got a table in their room, and each came by to say hey.

Best ones I got in person were probably Dave Kreig when I was about
7 and he was playing for the Seahawks. Also got one a few years back
from former Packers fullback William Henderson. I volunteered to work
an autograph session for a buddy of mine who had him as a spokesperson
for his company. Really nice guy and very well spoken.

I have a bunch of others that I didn't get in person like Jordan and Ali
but never got a really big name signing in front of me that I can remember.

Bill Murray. I was about 8, maybe 10 years old when I met him at my church hall (his sister is a nun in the Chicago Archdiocese and he was there for some kind of party for her.

M-Jeff, circa 1988 (?) Buddy of mine was on a basketball traveling team that won their tournament and got to play at halftime of the Bulls game. He got an extra ticket and brought me, and we got to get in the stadium early, and it also happened to be Kodak photo day with the Bulls, and you could get in line to take a pic with one of the Bulls and/or get an autograph. Needless to say, his was the line that I got in immediately. I had this card with me:

Jordan looked at the card and said, "I like that picture...well, I shouldn't ruin that." Then he proceeded to turn the card over and sign the back of the card. Lame autograph, but I think it's a good story...

Also lame autographs but an interesting story, within about 2 months of each other, I met Tim Floyd at a Sox game and Jerry Manuel at a Bulls game. They signed the ticket stubs...I think I still have them laying around in a storage bin somewhere.

Taker didn't say much...probably was trying to stay in character. It was funny how he signed it to my brother: "To Ron - Rest In Peace - Undertaker" There was something hilarious about him telling my brother to rest in peace.

Ahmed and Triple H were decent but seemed like they were in a hurry.

Owen was COOL though! He stayed and talked to me and my brother for a few minutes. My brother playfully gave him crap about losing to Bret Hart and he took it well. Seemed like a genuinely good guy. Kinda made it even more sad for me when he died a few years later.

Best
Greg Maddux on a scorecard from his 300th win. Had a friend in San Francisco at the game and she kept a perfect scorecard and I got Greg to autograph it a yearish so later.

Oddest
Scottie Pippen on the back of a paycheck stub. Ran into him and the only thing I had on me that could be signed was the stub from the paycheck I had just deposited.

I got a real mlb ball from a sox game back in the day (they used to give a shitload of tix away for good school attendance, so we would go a few times a summer even though i hate the sox), didn't get it signed that day but brought it back. Next game I went to I ran into cal ripken coming out of his cab and got him to sign it and also got brady anderson and steve finley after BP. I then took the ball on vacation to florida where we went to a sox spring training game and I got big frank to autograph it. My top autograph is one I got at green bay's fan day back in 1992 i think. I had the program and just wanted it signed on the team picture page by whomever I could find. My aunt got in the kicker Chris Jacke's line. I opted for the 3rd string newly acquired qb's line. There were an entire 2 people in front of me. It was of course favre. I still think my 2 authentic texas ranger texiera bats are more prized than any of that though. Took em both out of the trash.

I have several autographs (prizes, gifts) that sit somewhere in my basement, but the best one I ever (helped) get was for my 9 yr. old son. For some reason it was incredibly important for him to get a Diamondback's autograph. He, or rather I, failed until Aaron Heilman stopped in the middle of a crowd that didn't know him & signed his baseball glove.

Dan Haren saw it & pulled Brandon Webb over to keep signing for him as well.

The happiness on my son's face was unbelievable. I've never pulled for the D-backs, but I'll always cheer for those three.

My autographed poster of Walter Payton, Andre Dawson, and Michael Jordan. This took over a year for me to run into each of them.
