The New Jersey Nets have agreed to send Chris Douglas-Roberts to the Milwaukee Bucks for a 2012 second round pick, according to two league sources.

Sources said that the deal will become official after the NBA draft on Thursday.

This is the second trade in two days for the Bucks. On Tuesday the Bucks acquired Corey Maggette and the 44th pick in the draft from the Golden State Warriors for Dan Gadzuric and Charlie Bell.

Douglas-Roberts averaged 9.8 points per game last season for the Nets. He gives the Bucks another scoring wing to replace free agent-to-be John Salmons.

Seems like move just for the sake of making a move. They saved about $1M.

Is this just insurance for Michael Redd? Redd has been bad, and then has had the knee injuries so I'm not sure when he's back or if he's got anything left.

It's a smart move for the Bucks. They get a former first round pick for a late 2nd round pick. I'm more interested in why the Nets made the deal. Yes it saves them a million dollars but how much will that help them in free agency? They didn't even need to pick up the option if they wanted to save the money. That's why it doesn't make sense to me. I guess it could be they just wanted to get something for a player they didn't plan on keeping.

CDR was a second round pick, wasn't he? I remember because the Bulls could have taken him in the second round in the Rose draft...

Milwaukee was often the "mocked" landing spot of Xavier Henry, SG/Kansas, in tomorrow's draft. Does the CDR acquisition change their needs? And if so, does Henry slide to the Bull?

I cant imagine a guy like CDR would shift a team's draft strategy.
