You know, Frank, I heard for years how the Sox budget for payroll was a hard $85 million, then they blew right past that. You might forget that the Sox had the highest paid player in the game in Albert Belle. I know who Fielder's agent is. Every idiot that has a column says the Sox doen't do business with Boras. The only two guys that count, Kenny Williams and Boras himself, have never said anything of the kind. It's probably not likely, but don't act as if it absolutely couldn't happen.

For starters, Gordon Beckham's not going anywhere. The White Sox aren't about to trade their second baseman. That being said, I have three words for anyone who thinks the Sox are going to go after big Prince Fielder in the offseason...slim and none. Prince's agent happens to be Scott Bora$. 'Nuff said.
