Bosh is most likely gong to the Heat.

excuse my basketball ignorance, but does anything usually get announced right away at 11:01? I know they can't sign anything for a week, but are deals agreed upon right away usually?

Some are. Some arent. Doubt Lebron makes a decision 2night. Some 2nd and 3rd tier guys will sign 2night.

Something I noticed about HOVA, he'll argue with you til ya cry uncle that Luol Deng is worth his contract, but then he's always coming up with new and innovative ways to get rid of Deng and his contract. :?:

If the Bulls want to get Bosh and LeBron they will have to cut at $3M in salary and the only way they can do that is by trading Deng. Other than that I would prefer he stay.

Obviously, the top 5 or 10 are not signing tonight. Maybe Johnson. How many top/under guys sign in the first two hours?

If you say so. Image Find it ironic that one of the toughest dude's on the board (at least to argue with ) has a hard-on for the softest Bull.

First spin: LeBron (Cavs), Wade and Stoudemire (Heat), Bosh (Bulls).

First casualty of the free agency period. Hope he checks his sources next time...

But he's a Skiles guy. Drew can fill out a stat sheet. Plus he replaces John Salmons and fufills Milwaukees black beard quota.

I think Drew is underrated. Not sure anyone else would have paid him that but I believe it was a good signing.

I don't think the money is crazy. 6.4 mil/year isn't a horrible number, but I wouldn't have offered anything over 3 years.

 Money wise I think they bid against themselves but I do think Gooden is a good player and is underrated by many. Skiles agrees with me.

well exactly. the money and years are ridiculous. at this point Gooden is a 7th/8th man and while I would agree with you that he's not a bad player to have on your roster, not at those terms. I assume they are still going to start Bah a Moute, he's pretty much a younger version of Gooden anyway. Do you feel he'll start? it's not a max salary or anything but still a lot of money to pay a guy to come off the bench and give you 7 and 4

If he starts I think he will be a double double guy. He did pretty much that when the Clippers and Bulls gave him 30 mins. For whatever reason he doesn't seem to get a key role on any team. Bah is a bit of a tweener and limited offensively. If I'm not mistaken it was you that refused to trade him to me last season in the basketball league.

Duhon on move?
New York Knicks free agent point guard Chris Duhon(notes) has drawn some interest from the Chicago Bulls, his former team. The Knicks, Atlanta Hawks and Oklahoma City Thunder have also made preliminary inquiries into Duhon.

Is there a Duke guy that the Bulls aren't in love with? Can't wait for them to get Scheyer.

well right- he's a good offensive rebounder and rebounder in general. I'll give you that Gooden has a better offensive game (that's not saying much)

there's some reason he hasn't been given a key role. He was on the Cavs with James. If there was a time for him to shine that probably would have been it. he's pretty much just a guy who's going to put up decent numbers on bad teams. you're the one that said yesterday in regard to JJ that you or I could have averaged what he did playing on the Suns. Well guess what anyone with a pulse can average a double double on the Clippers if they put their mind to it.

I can't imagine an odder combination of people than Prokhorov, Jay Z, Rod Thorn and Avery Johnson

At least Jay Z and Prokhorov have something in common. Just hearing Avery say LeBron's name makes me laugh. The fact that they are selling him on his own clothing line or cologne is laughable to me. He can get those things and get into entertainment anywhere.
