Since others are going the non-football roue now, my favorite game ever was a 2006 Cards/Dodgers game...fucking thing went 13 or 14 innings and ended with Pujols taking Odalis Perez deep...

...close second is a 2003 Cards/Braves game where Pujols took Smoltz deep...

Anyone know who "the bald motherfucker from Iowa" was without looking it up? If you do know, Spada should send you a hat.

De Paul v. Georgetown at the Horizon. #1 v #2. Ewing was playing for Georgetown and I believe TC was still leading De Paul. Great game and De Paul won.

It was. I was stuck up in the rafters. It was the first game I went to without my parents. My older brother took me with his friends. I think we got Super Dawg on the way home. Good times.

Great thread... Hard to just name one.

College football: Fiesta Bowl 1987: Penn St vs Miami for National Championship. Penn State picked off Vinnie Testaverde all night and won 14-10.

College basketball: 1999 NCAA Championship game. UCONN upset of double digit favorite Duke. Ricky Moore stopping Langdon on the last play of the game and Hamilton, El-Amin, Voskul and the gang celebrating their fitst title.

Old school baseball: Father's Day 1977. White Sox and Royals DH at Comiskey. Lamar Johnson sings anthem and belts three homers as South Side Hit men sweep.

Now just to be clear... this means games that you were actually at... were you at this one, shultzyy? That one was one of the all-time favorite games because I loved great defense... and Penn State was a monster that day. I still remember Joe Pa's team showing up in navy blue sport coats, ties, and khakis. Miami showed up in Army fatigues.

Yes I was at that game. I was out there on a family vacation and my uncle secured tickets. That game was a big deal because pre BCS; it was not often to get a true #1 vs. #2 for the title. Also, it was moved to Jan 2 at night; which also rarely happened in that era.

That is freaking awesome. I remember my whole family watching that game. Was one of the games that really got me into college football.
