If you consider those games to be ND's "nonconference games" how is that really any worse than Michigan playing Vanderbilt, Central Michigan and Ball State?
It's just that ND is forced to play those games later in the year each year because everyone else is into their conference schedules. They did or will play Georgia Tech, USC, Michigan, and Penn State.
If you are arguing that they shouldn't be in the NC game, I won't argue with you. Although if they soundly beat USC next week, I may start to argue it. But, everybody has a few patsies on the schedule.
