Very solid film. Would recommend to any fan of the franchise. Best Predator themed film since the original. Maybe just a little bit behind, or right on par with Arnold's version. Great cast. Brody steals the show.

Go see it.

Was it better than Predator 2 with Danny Glover, Gary Busey, Bill Paxton and Kent McCord?

...not to mention Morton Downey Jr.

If the writers of this film had any creativity, they would have gotten Chris Hansen to play the hero.

"Sir, what are you planning on doing with that combi stick?"

Im big into the Predators storyline. I was that kid who had his parents buy him the Aliens vs. Predators novels that came out in the mid nineties. Predator 1 was the first hard core action film I saw. Predator 2 was fun. Somehow, Pred 2 has developed a ridiculous cult following over the last 20 years, and I respect that. I also got my hands on all the Predators vs. batman comics. Must say, some of those are movie worthy in their own right.

However I gotta say this film holds up really well against both of the previous predator efforts. I personally prefer it over P2, and to me it has a better cast than P1. I never thought A.Brody could play a legit badass, but without a doubt he pulls it off here. Alice Braga is a strong female lead, and every other actor at least generates genuine emotion from the viewer. I just prefer character development in my media nowadays, and this movie has that aspect. Not to mention a whole lot of blood blended into a top notch concept.

As I type this, "Predators" is sitting at a 7.5 on IMDB, and 65% on Rotten Tomatoes. Which is quite solid when u compare it to the 8% The Last Airbender is clocking.

Like I said, Go see it. It's def a movie worth paying for. To me it's more than just a guy's movie. It's a rebirth, and hopefully a foreshadowing of things to come.

...Damn that's the most Ive written about a film since I was getting paid table scraps to write about them for a college rag.

I actually wanna see this and may catch the matinee at North Riverside on monday. The last Predator film I saw was pt 2 and definitely had no interest in AVP

Then I think you'll enjoy it man. Im not gonna hype beyond what Ive said already, but I def left the theater thinking, "Wow, that was a lot better than I thought it would be."

Ten times better than both AVP films with half the budget.

Just got back from watching this and I thought it was a solid flick. I liked the addition of the bigger species of predators that even hunt the original predators. Brody does a pretty good job here as well as the rest of the cast. I thought the special f/x were a bit subpar but i wont be too picky. I still liked the film

Def agree the effects could have been a little better. Thoroughly enjoyed the original screenplay and acting tho. A sequel is being talked about.

Very solid action film. Starts off strong and doesn't let up to the finish. Lawrence Fishburne is awesome in this and if you needed a reason to see it let me just say Samurai sword vs. Predator FTW!....Awesome movie and worth seeing in the show.
