In my 72 years on this planet, this is the least interested I have ever been in a Cubs team. Maybe part of the reason is that I have grown older thus not buying the usual hope and future, which ironically isn't even being sold to me.

The only commentary the owner has made was when he was found at the all star game! and gave me "Remain calm, all is well speech"

Any decent business, if it was in trouble the owner would not only be present, but would be doing something to at least change the direction of the current business.

I guess, I can only assume that Ricketts is not as star struck as he appears by his lack of comments and actions and that things are brewing in his families mind.

Or is the new puppy daddy bought for tommy and his sisters and brothers too much to deal with and needs to go back.

MLB and the Cubs will regret the day they sold the Cubs to Ricketts instead of the highest bidder.

U werent telling Terry that 2 years ago when Cuban had the highest bid on the table. The whole afternoon show was completely against the idea of Cuban being the Cubs owner. I dont disagree with those guys much, but they all got the Ricketts purchase shamefully wrong. Made me think Reinsdorf was running the WSCR for a while.

I have to say my Cubs apathy is pretty high right now. But I was most apathetic by the 2002 Cubs team that was trotting out Fred McGriff and Delino DeSheilds on a daily basis. That my friends was bad times. I will watch some games down the stretch to try and catch Castro, Colvin, Cashner, and Soto and thats about it.
