I would get rid of Emmitt Smith, but wouldn't argue against the other 4.

Triple Threat Sports in Mokena more than likely does, and if they don't, I'm sure he can find it. MY GUY!

Tony Dorsett
Thurman Thomas
Marcus Allen
Ottis Anderson
Eric Dickerson

I used to love me some Thurman in the early 90's. Him and Bruce Smith were an unstoppable duo in Madden '95, the best Madden of all time.

Terrell Davis

Marshall Faulk
Jim Taylor

Or, speaking of T.Davis, top 5 career too short...

Billy Sims
Priest Holmes
Bo Jackson
Christian Okoye (Bo and Okoye were beasts in Tecmo)
Ricky Williams

They're all going to be in the last 15 years or early 70s I would think -

Lewis Tillman
Tim Worley
Rashaan Salaam
Curtis Enis
Edgar Bennett

Other than that, I can't complain too much as most guys did what they were asked to do. James Allen was OK, maybe average. You think about guys like Brad Muster who never became what everyone hoped but he was a decent back when he could stay healthy. Guys like Thomas Sanders were decent backups. But as far as carrying the load, I always kind of liked UltraBack Harris but I guess you could say he wasn't very good.

If you want to dig deep -

Darnell Autry
Autry Denson
Ironhead Heyward
Bam Morris
Leon Johnson

Salaam could have had a good career if he had played for a half-decent head coach. He fumbled a couple of times as a rookie, then Wanny started harping on it, talking about it in the press, instituting fumble drills in practice just for him, etc. He made the fumble issue such a big deal that it was all the kid could think about. Wanny got in his head and ruined him.

Curtis Enis, on the other hand, may be the worst of all time. However, I suspect that Benson may give him a run for the money when all is said and done.

I think Benson might be starting to turn a corner. He looked much better last week and has put together a couple of decent games in a backup role. I think he'll start getting more and more time as the year goes on to save wear and tear on 20.

That’s not a bad list, Ryan. Marshall was a badass in his prime…

Most overrated: Emmitt Smith (Can't wait for LT to restore honor to Walter's old record. Smith never should've had it.)
Honorable mention: Curtis Martin (This guy got so much pub for being underrated, that now he's overrated.)

Most underrated: OJ Simpson (I guess a double murder and subsequent acquittal will make people forget what an amazing athlete you were.)
Honorable mention: Eric Dickerson (He's every bit as good as he was in Tecmo Bowl.)

Good point. Up until 1994 he was in everybody's top runningbacks conversation. He was a great player though.

Agreed Hawkeye. Squirmin Thurman was my FFL savior in the early 90's, back when I used to have to go thru the newspapers to total up my points.

To all the Barry Sanders lovers:

Do you consider the fact that he consistently led the league in over 20 yd carries, but also in negative yard carries? Doing some very quick research I found he led both of these categories 3 years running in 1996. There could be more.

So while he'll snap off a big run to inflate the numbers, meanwhile you've gone 3 and out several times because he's running in circles.

Did you watch Sanders? Some of those lines he ran behind, particularly late in his career, were PA-thetic. The man averaged 1,500 yards per year over his career.
