Just wondering if any board members are going to Bears Camp... and we can put it in one easily identifiable thread

Here's the schedule:

http://www.chicagobears.com/team/Traini ... hedule.asp

I'll be at practice with my two sons on the first Sunday and Monday in August (1st and 2nd), and then leaving Tuesday (3rd) around 2ish.
11th straight training camp for me and my son Max.

Here's ESPN's broadcast schedule - typically they don't allow 'fans' in until two hours before practice and kick them out two hours afterwards - so once again the broadcast schedules won't allow fans to see the remotes - then again, the radio stations are there to interview players, and that's impossible to do when they're practicing.

Friday, July 30: Afternoon Saloon (2 p.m. - 6 p.m., 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.)

Monday, August 2: Afternoon Saloon (2 p.m. - 6 p.m.)
Tuesday, August 3: Waddle & Silvy (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
Tuesday, August 3: Afternoon Saloon (2 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

Wednesday, August 11: Waddle & Silvy (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.)

Wednesday, August 18: Waddle & Silvy (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
Wednesday, August 18: Afternoon Saloon (2 p.m. - 6 p.m.)
Thursday, August 19: Waddle & Silvy (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.)

Still nothing on WSCR's broadcasts yet.

Na, I've got a hotel room down there on Sunday and Monday night for $69 each night. Government rate. They never check for an ID.

Grid, do you wait in that long ass line to get in? or line up hours before they let people in?

Grid - I'll get down there at some point, but it doesn't look like I will be able to make it the first weekend, unfortunately.

Bigfan, yes, I wait in the line - but only for about a half hour. I'm an early riser, so it's no big deal. Hell, I may be able to sleep in this year, as it seems like most of the practices are starting later.

The two sons have ZERO interest in autographs now, so that's pretty cool - as that's a total pain in the ass. They enjoy getting away from their mother for a few days, and having a steady diet of unhealthy food and questionable movies. The fast food feasting may change this year, as young Zak has embraced the X-Box this summer and couch potato-dum. Now he must lose 5-15 lbs in six weeks depending on if he wants to be a lineman only, or 'any position'.

I'll probably go with my dad and my uncles during the week to avoid the bigger crowds - I'll just have to see the Martz/Cutler-match-made-in-heaven in person :eye:

I did go on day 1 last year and while things were not terrible, they weren't great either. Lotsa setup still going on while people are walking in.

Manhattan? ...and you live near Wrigley's beer garden?

Mama Beef lives in Frankfort, right around Route 30 and Route 45. Actually on a 22 acre farm near there. The woman is sitting on a goldmine if this economy ever bounces back.
