Just checked out the latest weekly update...fucker is huge...lots of text...and a few pictures that reveal a lot...

Armor customization for Spartans will include:

Helmet, Left Shoulder, Right Shoulder, Chest, Wrist, Utility, Visor Color, Knee Guards, Armor Effect, Firefight Voice, Emblem and Colors...

Then there is this image which shows off everything that will be available to players on Day One...click for massive wall of win

...looks like Firefight voices will include the members of Noble Team, Sgt Johnson, Cortana (WTF?), Master Chief (YES), Sgt. Buck (Double Yes) and some myster guy who I have no idea who he is...we also get the first look at what Jorge and Jun look like...still don't get to see what's under Emile's helmet...also, Carter has more hair now...

Helmets for the main five members of Noble team will be free unlockable avatar awards...good stuff...

Bungie has a panel at Comic-Con tonight...was planning on watching it on G4 online, but ended up making real plans...fuck...

Also, it appears my hope/fear that a Reach 360 bundle is coming true...hope because I want a stupd excuse to buy a second 360...fear because, well, it will cost money...and it really doesn't look all that great if you ask me...apparently someone listed it on the Microsoft site for a brief time and now it's been pulled...

2 Spartans vs 2 Elites...Elites get AI Covenant assistance and unlimited lives but don't score points...Spartans have limited lives but get extra lives for every player controlled Elite they kill...after time or lives run out, sides switch and the higher score wins...

...not quite what I expected when I said I wanted to play Firefight as Elites, but this just might be better...

...this is shaping up to be the best game ever.

Shitload of customization for Spartans...mystery firefight voice revealed to be Sgt. Stacker...YES!

Elites don't get the customization that Spartans do (SAD FACE) but they get some of the sweetest looking armor I've ever seen (HAPPY FACE)

IGN and Gamespot each released some of the info they gathered from their visit to Bungie a few weeks back...they each say minor spoilers, but really the only new stuff they discuss are a general overview of three missions, one of which we've already seen part of...

Just read on the bnet forums that Reach already has over 900,000 preorders...had to see the list for myself...

For some perspective, that's more than the 360 version of Modern Warfare 2 had six weeks prior to it's release. Of course, that game also had PS3 and PC pre-orders that made it's total (approx. 1.25 million) higher than Reach's.

While I don't see Reach eclipsing the record MW2 set last year for largest entertainment launch, it's gonna be a lot closer than I, and many people, think...and I could honestly see it outselling Black Ops, something that many insiders (my guy Pachter included) would think is absurd.
