I am very tempted to make a mass nomination in the D-Bag section listing everyone who made references to:
- a statement game
- [Bears] proving something
- sending a message
- pride
- respect
- Belichick's wisdom
- "style" of the Pats' defense [as something that the Bears have gotten accustomed to from previous games. 3-4 alignment alone does not provide an exhaustive specification of "style."]
- a statement game
1-0, 2-0, 3-0 Media, "Bears havn't played anyone"
4-0, 5-0, 6-0 Media, "Nice start, but wait until the east coast games to see how good they REALLY are."
6-1, 7-1, Media, " Grossman can't play against the Blitz. They will be lucky to go 1-3 on the east coast trip."
8-1 Media, " Giants where banged up."
9-1 Media, " Did you see the Dallas game!"
Darn right this is a statement game!
Before this trip the Bears where a excellent home team and a questionable road team. Everyone said, "wait until the coast games to see how good this team really is." The Bears a 2-0 on this trip and only NE stands between them and reaching the goal of sweeping the road trip. I wouldn't want to be NE this Sunday.
- [Bears] proving something
Do you think they are going to win the superbowl? Or are you waiting for them to PROVE they are a good enough team to win it all?
- sending a message
The message is: We don't care who you put infront of us. Home/Road, doesn't make a difference. We will beat the snot out of all the teams in the NFL.
- pride
If you play without pride then you don't need to worry about....
- respect
- Belichick's wisdom
Yeah, this guy just might be the greatest defensive mind of all time. Big deal
Make your nomination for D.bag. My guess is you will receive your own special nomination at the top.
LOL, great post.
Man, I fucking hate Dallas.
