Seems to be a problem with the HD feed, because all is well on the standard feed.

It was sort of nice for 5 pitches. I think Im tired of Kotsay, when Teahan comes back, they should make Kotsay go away. At least then I can be angry that he is in the majors and not Kotsay

I love to watch Danks pitch. I don't think he will be legendary, but he is going to be one of those under the radar guys that sticks around for 15+ years and wins 15-20 games every year.

Kotsay is a +.300 career pinch hitter. He has a role on a playoff contending MLB roster. He's just not playing that role on the Sox.

The one hurdle I see in Danks' career right now is that he throws too many pitches early, resulting in him not going as deep into games as the elite ones. Hopefully he will correct that and there have been some indications of late that he will.

8 innings his last 2 starts. Granted, against the pathetic Mariners but still.

Kotsay has been hitting some ropes right at people. Hawk would make you think that he is an MVP canidate, but he has had some tough luck lately.

I went to the game last night, expecting King Felix to be dealing...instead, it was the White Sox offense that was cicking on all cylinders. Kotsay may have only had 1 hit, but he hit the ball hard all night. The line drive Kotchman snared (turned into a DP) was smoked and of course Ichiro made the home run saving catch on another ball Kotsay hit. The Cuban missile was my pick to click and he did not let me down. 3 Hits an RBI and run scored. Plus a couple of great plays at SS. Danks was very good as was the defense behind him. Great crowd on a beautiful night. I got to heckle Milton Bradley too, since we were seated just 13 rows back, righ behind the Mariners Dugout (1st base side). That brought some small sense of satisfaction. Santos looked very good in the 9th and I have to wonder if he might get a save opportunity in the days to come. He has outstanding stuff and looks like a guy who could do that job. I would rather trust Putz, because of his history in that role, as well as his performances this season. But Santos has some nasty stuff.

He's got to win at least 15 one of these years before he can do it every year.

I fully expect a shutout tonight by Floyd. I know it's unreasonable but the Mariners on the road the way Floyd is pitching is a recipe for "great success".

The Sox are on their way to matching the 19 spot from the Twins last night. 7 runs in the 2nd!

A leadoff single and Hawk says 'come on Gavin you have to pitch like it's a 0-0 game'. Fuckin relax Hawk, it was just 1 hitter.

They thought the big offseason of acquiring Bradley would significantly upgrade their offense. Not much more needs to be said about that.

Nice call, gd!

I'd like the Sox to face Aaron Rowand-Smith more often! That was the least stressful game of the season.

You mean Ryan Rowland-Smith, Mel. The Seattle lefty literally threw BP at these White Sox hitters and was lucky to go 5 innings last night...

How would they fit "Rowland-Smith, Mel" on the back of a jersey?

PIERRE LF
RAMIREZ SS
RIOS DH (wtf?)
KONERKO 1B
QUENTIN RF
PIERZYNSKI C
VICIEDO 3B
JONES CF
BECKHAM 2B

Rios at DH? I understand it gives the guy a break in the OF, but he only played 1/2 a game yesterday and he's the best defensive outfielder on the team by far. If anything put CQ at DH and grampa Jones in RF

Oh SHARK ........ :?

Tonight's lineup highlights:

> Rios DH today with Grandpa Jones playing CF against the crafty lefty Jason Vargas.
> TCQ in left.
> Vizquel on the bench with the Viciedo at 3rd.

I was a little surprised, Frank, that Alex Rios was out of the ballgame in the top 6th, even though the White Sox had an 11-0 lead vs. the Mariners. Rios & Carlos Quentin were the only regular starters that didn't have a single hit last night vs. the really bad, inept Ryan Rowland-Smith. I was also a little surprised to see Ramon Castro replace Juan Pierre as DH, let alone see Brent Lillibridge in left field with "Grandpa" Andruw Jones shifting from left to center.

Why is Kotsay out? That's the question.

Maybe Ozzie's getting creative because 1.) We have the M's number and 2.) A trade is in the works.
