Nope, Williams is not an idiot so I doubt that's happening.

I'm holding off on my opinions until the dust clears, but I'm guessing Williams has one more move left.

Would you make the deal if:

Jackson + Morel + Flowers for Berkman and Brett Myers

Sounds like speculation from somebody who doesn't know what they are talking about.

ESPN should be fired from sports. You only send Floyd in a package for a guy like Fielder and you have a agreement with Fielder for him to sign an extension.

I might do that even if it had to be Viciedo instead of Morel or Flowers. But the Jackson thing doesn't make sense. Wouldn't Houston have rather had Hudson? I'm guessing Jackson is staying with the White Sox.

The Nat's just traded their closer (Matt Capps) to the Twins. What if the deal is Jackson and Jenks for Dunn? Is that too much to pay? The Sox have 3 alternatives to close games and Jenks is a free agent after this season.

I would do this too. I trust Putz to close games more than Thornton, just due to his experience and previous success as a closer. I think he would be a good mentor as a closer for Santos too.

In my opinion, the only 2 guys I would not really be open to trading out of the bullpen are Santos and Thornton.

I think the Nats don't do the deal, they've got Drew Storen as their closer for this year and for the future and so I don't think the Nats are looking for a closer. I think they're looking for infield prospects and/or outfield prospects.

The White Sox have made the deal for Edwin Jackson alright, but I'm not 100% sure if he's ever going to see U.S. Cellular Field. There seems to be split opinions regarding whether or not Edwin could end up in Washington if it means getting Adam Dunn as so many seem to think...I'll say this. I've seen enough of Mark Kotsay. They burned two of his bats the other night, and still didn't get a hit when he started at first base last night in their 9-5 win over the hapless Mariners!

I had Jackson on my Roto squad and he had a great June, so he can do something, but when this guy is bad, he is turribull

Perhaps KW is planning something that is really really far fetched but still a WOW trade:

E Jackson + Prospects or Package of Prospects w/out Jackson to Washington from Sox
Adam Dunn to Tampa Bay Rays from Washington
Carl Crawford to Sox from Tampa Bay Rays

Would you do this deal?
This may be a dream but KW has something big up his sleeve and KW works very silently. This is pure speculation.

But where would Crawford bat? We've already got Juan Pierre to lead off. JUAN PIERRE FOR PRESIDENT!

The Sox have a better shot at landing Joe Mauer straight up for AJ than this mess.

I think he did. All signs pointed to Kenny really wanting a bat.

Kenny got played like a rookie G.M. The guys on Baseball Tonight, last night said, Rizzo never wanted Hudson or Jackson in a Dunn trade.

Duped might be too harsh a word. I think he acquired Jackson and hoped to trade him for Dunn, but was willing to live with Jackson if the Dunn deal didn't work out. I don't think he acquired Jackson solely for the flip and then got screwed.

Had I been home, I would have had a lot of negative things to say about this trade.

Even under a best case scenario with Jackson, this is a bad trade. I think KW needs somebody who he trusts to tell him no.

They made a win now move, GD. I don't think they liked the idea of going into a series with Freddy and Hudson pitching. I like Hudson too but it's hard for me to believe he would have pitched like he has in a high pressure situation of a pennant race.
