Boers & Bernstein to the morning show? That might work, because the morning show is the time and place to deviate from sports talk, which is Dan's strength, as he has a lot of knowledge across the board. You could go:

6-10 Boers & Bernstein
10-2 Mike Murphy
2-6 Mulligan & Hanley

Unless that's too much Murph and too much Sun-Times guys. This is a part-time gig for them, after all.

No way Boers will agree to get up early enough to do a 6am show.

I thought they went through this a couple years ago with him and he was against moving to certain times in the day. Maybe I don't remember it correctly.

Also, you'd have to throw Drinky and Hood or Holmes in the mix somewhere on that schedule as I'm sure they would want to add at least one new show to the daytime lineup.

I'd go -

6-10 Drinky / Hood
10-2 Hanley / Mully
2-6 Boers/Bernstein
6-10 Murph

I think the Mully/Hanley show is the best natural fit for a morning show. They are a quality informed show that's also an EASY LISTEN. B&B are to angry and abrasive for me in the mornings.

I agree, Mully and Hanley or Murph would be the best choice for the morning shift.
B&B no good, I don't need those two mopes aggravating me early in the day. I don't mind them in the afternoons, but I would not want to wake up to them. I have said this before, but I think both would benefit from new partners. The B&B show is a shell of it's former self.

Everyone will be better off when the MNMShitfest is gone. Hell, I miss Murph and Fred. How pathetic is that?

I wonder if Mulli and Hanley would be willing to work that early. With the traveling they do after a Bears or Bulls game sometimes, I imagine they sometimes are arriving back in Chicago at 6a or 7a?

If they wouldn't or couldn't do mornings, I'd go with...

5:30a-8a- Drinky, Brian Paruke, and Joe Bartosch
(end early because IN-CASE the show doesn't work out, a guaranteed good show starts at 8a -- if the show works, extend it to 9).

I'm not a big Murph fan, but I didn't have a problem with his morning show with Fred. Fred actually had opinions, and Murph is less boring when he's not the only one steering the ship. I'd put that combo back together whenever Mike were to leave.

After two long years, I don't think Mike has beaten the numbers put up by Murph and Fred. I would speculate that the MorningShitfest costs 4-5 times more to produce and has not increased the numbers at all. Then Mitch had the chance to take the show in a new direction with the addition of another voice, which made sense to everyone except Mike. Instead, Annie gets new paper and her role increased. Explain that, I sure can't.
There is a conference room full of CBS execs that can't wait for the this monetary sinkhole that masquerades as a radio show to expire. There will be much rejoicing.

More Murph is never, EVER the answer. To anything. If we're playing fantasy program director here, I would be all in favor of giving Last Call a permanent weekday slot.

If Murph and Fred beat Mike and Mike, then go back to Murph and Fred. Why did they even switch to North in the first place?

They switched to Pappy because they were stuck with a long term bad contract. He had failed as a solo guy and failed in afternoons. They had to get some worth out of him but he proceeds to fail in the mornings.

A good start for revamping would letting Boers, Bernstein and Murphy go. In my opinion, the three worst on the Score. No, I have to take that back, Jesse tops the list.

Boers and Bernstein won't be going anywhere for a long time...thank God. Best sports radio show there is.
