Johnny Knox?? Devin Hester??? Devin Aromashadu??? Matt Forte??? Chester Taylor??? I don't think it's gonna be a TE, so I will not include them. If you think it's gonna be someone not named here, feel free to name that person.

I'm guessing Knox will be the guy, but Aromashadu was outstanding the last couple games, so I think he's a candidate too. I see Forte bouncing back this year and his pass catching abilities will make him a more valuable player in Martz's offense than he was under Turner. His knee was never really right last season and I am anxious to see him in the pre-season.

Devin Hester. Worked with Isaac Bruce quite a bit in the offseason.

I'm thinking either Knox or Aromashadu.

Knox seems more likely to me because Aromashadu is better at possession, and he doesn't have the breakaway speed Knox does.

Only five teams in NFL history have accomplished having three receivers pulling off 1,000 yards in a single season. Most recently have been the 2004 Colts and the 2008 Cardinals. The Bears (Hester, Knox, Aromashadu) & Pack (Jennings, Driver, Finley) have a chance to be the sixth & seventh.

Earl Bennett or Devin Hester. I'd guess Earl Bennett.

Knox and Aromashadu will be proven to be players that are meaningless outside of a game or two just like they were last year.

Aromashadu or Knox. Hester will the the 3rd leading receiver and Bennett will be 5th behind Olsen.

I pick Taylor. I don't trust any one of the receivers to stay healthy all year. They may, I just don't trust one more than another.

I think Aromashodu will do well but maybe that is the last thing you see effect. Should that be affect?

I have a bad feeling about Bennett.

I read something about how Aromashadu doesnt fit in the Martz system & that he is struggling with it. Regardless, I would have DA as the #1 WR given his size & athleticism. Someone on the Score today said that Knox is looking like a big time WR in camp. I still don't buy it. He had a couple of good games & a bunch of average games last year. He's too small to be a Big time #1 WR, Hester is the real wild card this year. Is he smart enough to grasp Martz's huge playbook? Does he have the tools to play WR in the NFL? If he didn't know where to line up in Ron Turners offense, he'll be lost in Martz's. He could catch 100 balls for 1300 yards, or 50 balls for 650 yards. I still wonder why the Bears didn't sign Torry Holt & let him mentor Hester in Martz's Offense, instead of having Isaac Bruce work with Hester. Why is Rasheed Davis still on the Bears?

Here's how I see it:

1. Hester 70, 800, 7
2. Aromashadu 65, 725, 5
3. Knox 50, 550, 4
4. Bennett 40, 475, 2

FYI, last year, only Olsen had 60 receptions. Olsen had 8 TDs, next highest was Knox with 5. I think you are overestimating the Bears offense this year, Scorehead. I think if anything, this OL is going to be worse than last year. I feel we are in for about a 6-10 season. Lots of interceptions and lots of anti-Cutlerisms will come down this year, but it will be mostly because he has no choice but to try to win games late.

I too am predicting the Bears will finish 6-10. If Farve retires, the Bears may get another W against the Vikes.
The Bears will be more aggressive on Offense this year in the Martz system than they were last year in Turners system. Lovies Defense will stink again so the Bears will play some high scoring games. I dont see any way possible that this years Bears dont complete more passes for more yards than last years team.
I cant wait for the first time that Lovie wants to run the ball & Martz calls a bomb.
Has Lovie said that we still get off the bus running? Because you know, that's what the Bears do because the weather is cold in Chicago. Bullshit. I want to see air Martz this year.

Lawn Home has said that Lovie explicitly has avoided saying bus running sayings.

RPB,

The same 4 Bears WR's had about 2200 yards receiving last season. I have them at about 2600 this year. I figure in the Martz system, this is a reasonable increase.

This is a really good question. All 4 of the WRs could theoretically find a way to lead the team in Rec. yds. Ill just go with Hester's freakish talent winning out as his yards per catch should be higher than the rest of these guys. Knox is a sleeper, Cutler seems to trust Bennet the most, but no one knows what to expect from a whole season of Aromashodu.

I will stick by my point that this offense could really struggle playing on the worst field surface in the NFL for 8 games this year. Dont expect Rams 99 anytime soon.

Good point about the field conditions. This would have been the perfect time to install field turf. It costs about $1 Million to install. I see High Schools all over the place who have installed field turf. Mooseheart on RT 31 is installing it right now. Daley could probably find $1 Million in his desk drawer to pay for it. It is a travesty that the Bears play on this shit surface every year.

Also, regardless of who is #1, I think Hester will get the most overall snaps. Knox, Bennet and Ararmashadu will be mixed and matched, at least early on.

It's just a terribly fucked up situation. I cant believe the undoubtedly corrupt Chicago Park District owns the playing surface at Soldiers Field. Idk if it's so much Daley having the coin to change the surface as it is the Park District asking for too much of a payoff from the McCaskeys to reliquish rights.

Either way, field turf has come a long way from the dangerous ground surface it once was. Still dont know just how much safer it is, but I do know Martz's offense would, and has, flourished on artificial field turf.
