Alexei Ramirez got the DP started...Gordon Beckham threw it quick and the result remains 2-1 White Sox now in the 9th.

And with that home run, Mark Kotsay is likely hitting his weight (220)

And with that homerun, Putz needs to be the new Sox closer. This kind of shit cannot happen in a pennant race.

Daggummit! Big Bobby just blew the save! A game-tying homer by Ryan Raburn! :x Freddy Garcia & Max Scherzer won't favor in the decision today...

You know the Ranger will be on the receiving end of calls demanding Bobby Jenks' removal as closer if the White Sox let this one slip through their fingers and lose this game in extras!

Even if the Sox win it SHARK, Jenks has no business closing again. This could be 3 games he has cost the Sox in the standings just within the last 3 weeks here.

Think about it. Jenks nails it down in even 2 of these 3 road games-- Minnesota, Seattle, and today in Detroit-- Sox are 3.5 games up in the division.

Win or lose he's going to get calls. That's only 3 blown saves for him, but his ERA and WHIP are uncomfortably high.

Who would you Sox fans prefer? Torres? Thornton? Putz?

Two of the three blown saves, Frank, came with the White Sox leading by 3 runs! :x In my opinion, that's inexcusable! If the White Sox are in a save situation tomorrow night vs. arguably the worst team in Bud Selig's Major League Baseball, Buck Showalter's Orioles in Baltimore, J.J. Putz should be the closer.

"Only" 3, but they have all happened within the last 3 weeks. Again, in a pennant race that cannot happen.

Top of the 11th coming up in a 4-4 tie...The more & longer this one goes on The SCORE, the less we hear from Bernsy & Holmes after the Ranger's postgame.

DSWFan, please proceed to the phone for your postgame call to Ranger. Your Fire and Passion meter reading indicates a great call will ensue.

4. For some reason the fiasco in Minnesota didn't count as a blown save. Bobby has to throw his fastball more and stop fucking around with his curve and that turnover changeup thing.

It's because when he entered the game it was not a save situation. They were up 4 runs at the time.

Keyser's absolutely right. It was a technicality in the Baseball Rule Book in regards to saves, even though Big Bobby got saddled with the loss in Minnesota on that Sunday afternoon right after the All-Star Break.

A Mark Kotsay sighting for the second time! A two run triple scores a pair and the White Sox now lead 6-4 in the top 11th!

Valverde has one of the weirdest deliveries I have ever seen. His strikeout dance is very amusing as well.
