Holy shit, pro formation! It worked, I guess, still not a fan of it.

This is really stupid or a bad joke.

Rashied Davis isn't young. The WR ship has sailed. He's 5th, at best, on the depth chart, and I'm sure there's some project with higher upside you can find somewhere. And while the special teams contributions are valuable, he's easily expendable, and has been for some time.

Releasing your top 2 or 3 special team player because he is old doesn't make much sense unless you can replace him. We know that isn't easy. He is also the type of receiver that can do well in this offense if one of the WR's get hurt.

I find it hilarious that I just said that you all have to stop agreeing with IB, but I'm in lock step with your thoughts on Davis. Ok, yes we love the story of the "Guy from the Arena League who worked at Best Buy makes it to the NFL" but it's time for someone else.

give her ~10 years. the blowup potential is off the charts with her once gravity decides to really say "hello there"

Your top two or three special teams player? That's not an impossible-to-find skill. At that level of contribution, you need to help out somewhere else. Battling for the 5th WR position shouldn't be enough. I'm hoping someone can step up and beat him out.

Does the #4 come after #2?

Bennett is injured.

Why do you believe he is ahead of Devin A? IMO DA is the better receiver.

as long as they keep gary wolfe we will be absolutely dominant on special eds. if they let wolfe go it will be a domino effect, bringing down the offense then subsequently the defense will collapse too. its the bears.

If the Bears find better players I'm okay with it. I'm just against releasing a guy just because. Peterson hung around for a while even though his primary value was on special teams.

On Volek: He can win a game for you against Oakland or Kansas City. That's about what you ask. Will never be a full-time starter, which some thought he could not that long ago. Kind of a headcase too.

That was in jest. If he's the best person, so be it. I just hope he's not. His position seems like low-hanging fruit.

Speaking of people with low replacement value, how in the hell does Lou Canellis have a job?

Despite the broadcast puffery, Major Wright has looked pretty good.

We're in preseason form. We usually agree on most things when it comes to football.

zach's in midseason form: as lovie went in for the half he started off his hard-hitting interview with "speaking about the first team offense, you have to love the way they moved the ball..."

Meatball time now....if someone looks good in this half, expect a call in the post game show or on Mully and Hanley on Monday morning.....

"Why isn't Khalil Bell getting more time with the 1st team...?

Hey, this is pre-season ... don't let B&B hear you talking about anything substantive in regards to a pre-season game, especially during 2nd/3rd team time.

Also, TE the same as HB is a bit over-generalized. I see your point, but on this team, not so much ... there's a reason Forte's in the backfield rather than Olsen, for example.

Piss on Paul Oliver.
