Let me know. I'm willing to run it again, with the caveat that I am often scatterbrained and busy. Also, any ideas will be taken into consideration.

Lower minimum bet total.

Updates on Major Holidays.

What was the minimum last year- 100? I'd be willing to lower it to 50. Any less than that and it's a bit of a crap shoot.

Hey you, I already said something nice about a MAC team--I said Temple is going to beat Penn State. I've played nice.

50 or 75

Remember you had Boilermaker making like 40 bets on the superbowl.
Thats not what you want from a research standpoint.

I would definitely recommend a limit on the number of bets you can make on any single game but there was a strategy behind what I did. The 40 Super Bowl bets were simply filler since many of them are roughly coin flips.

Having a minimum number of bets seems kind of silly since you can just coinflip bet stuff at the end to get to the minimum number. I'd be more interested in a minimum number of bets per week, and some sort of penalty applied if you don't meet the minimum (i.e., drop your bankroll 20% or something.) And maybe a maximum number of bets per week would help if you do institute a minimum number overall.

There will NOT be two of these! Like the fucking NASCAR.

I will be sending a PM to CHUS, IB and DONS to see what we can come up with.

I hope my QB challenge is also allowed to exist as it's a different type of contest. It's in the NFL section.

What? Never knew you had a problem with too many people giving out money?

I'll retire mine next year as it is the junior member of NASCAR contests.

Still never got the NASCAR thing. It's suppossed to be the BIG sport and cant even get odds or info until the Tuesday before like betting on a WNBA game.

NFL wagering for the next game is up hours after the game ended, even Baseball, etc. all have the numbers for the next event within hours.

The point being, there will not be a Dr Ken league and a Donspiracy league, there will be one UNITED WAGERING FRONT!

No problem, then I am united behind Don's contest because mine it too big of a fucking pain in the ass to give away my own money and ultimately be considered a board nuisance.

On with Don!!!

As long as don is able to finish the year, let's go with tradition. Else, IB is willing to cough it up.

With all due respect to Bigfan, who the hell cares if there's another contest going on at the same time? Don's contest and my contest test different things, and if both of us are giving away our money, why try to stamp that out? There's enough duplicative and pointless bullshit on this board that I don't see why a couple more posts in the wagering section are going to bring this place to hell.

Your board, your rules. But of all the places to put your foot down, this seems like a silly one.

my dad died nov 17th last year. It was kind of a thing and took away my time and concern for the contest.(All apologies to Poobah Big Fan)

What BigFan is trying to say is one thread, one weekly CSFMB dirtsheet. Trust me, I don't mean to dissapoint and the run Mitch_Cumstein went on a couple years ago is of legend and record. I do enjoy the wagering and the contest and it will be back in a few weeks.

Combine the money and picks contest, as single url each week BigFan can sendout to brag to his friends OR fire up the presses on the BigFan/CSFMB newsletter. Unique content on the internet, what a concept.

Hopefully we'll get Coast to check back in here when the season starts. I always liked his mock Hilton NFL picks contest.

Oh, and remember, fade Irish Boy.

That reminds me: WWN is ineligible to win any prize that I may offer through the contest.

He bitched because I didn't update my totals over Thanksgiving weekend, then lied and said I hadn't updated the totals for the past two weeks. I'm not getting anything out of this, so to have some asswipe complain because the contest isn't being run to his standards is a bit much. So, fuck him, he won't get a dime of my money.

Once again, wrong, moron. The week before thanksgiving, only one person made any bets. That person's tally was updated. The week of thanksgiving I did not update, between the holiday and an illness I didn't have time to do so. You then bitched about it in the douchebag section and I removed you from the contest (which, frankly, was mostly symbolic, as you had no chance of winning anyway). You continue to act like a rectum, so why would I give you a chance to win my money?

Once again, this isn't a pool; it's a contest. If I don't update at all during the year and pull a name out of a hat and send $100 to someone at random, that's my prerogative. As it was, I updated the contest between Wednesday and Friday 90% of the time, all while not even fully competing in the contest myself. So WWN, kindly go blow yourself.
