Dead medium?? I don't think it's dead. Is it as popular and relevant as radio was in the 70's and 80's?? ...No. Are the radio personalities as significant as they were even in the 90's???....No. But it's not dead. Then again, I still read the newspaper regularly. I don't think it's about being a better person anyway. I call because I want to. I enjoy imparting information/theories/opinions and the give/take that ensues with the hosts I listen to regularly. Thats all it is. I do the same here, for many of the same reasons. It's a bit different, in that I will sometimes "stir the pot" here just for the amusing reactions it will elicit. But in many ways it's very similar.
