if they don't sweep they are fucking toast. no reason you can't win every single one of these games.

I'm afraid to watch. Could be like watching Titanic, except with no Kate Winslet nude scene. :( :pale:

No way they sweep. Best you can hope for is 2 out of 3. KC always seems to get them at least once. Do they face Greinke?

Greinke's quickly losing his marbles again. Sad to see. Not afraid of him, though.

Kate Winslet has aged like a fine wine, way hotter now than she was then. Nude scene in Titanic didn't do anything for me - and I think I was all of 14 years old first time I saw it.

True, but he still has amazing stuff. He is capable of putting together a masterpiece everytime he goes to the mound.

Do you prefer fitted, adjustable, or 10-gallon?

As much as the White Sox have had trouble with the Twins, they're not the only team the Sox have struggled with this season. If the Southsiders don't make the playoffs, they'll look back on earlier meetings with these Royals, the Indians & Orioles as three more reasons why they will be watching the MLB Playoffs like you & me on TV this October.

I don't know if they're going to get Game 1 of their series in tonight...I was just on weather.com, and there's an 80% chance of showers & thunderstorms tonight in the forecast for Kansas City. I hope the White Sox & Royals are prepared for a possible doubleheader this weekend or to possibly kiss Monday's scheduled off day goodbye if rain washes out the game...

For God's sake, man. Is sarcasm completely lost upon you?

Yeah, I heard that. Is there a good reason for this? I guess they're not gonna clear the park after game 1. But this means baseball well after midnight. Kind of... fucking weird.

Edit... I wonder if there's a 2 hour comedy show earlier and they can't get started until then.

 Probably

From what I saw on Rongey's Facebook, it has something to with FOX. So, no TV if they were to play in the afternoon. Very lame.

Properly prepared tips are the most delectable part of the pig. I had some last night from Lil' Porgies that were better than a BJ from a swallower.

It may be a long night. The Sox start Freddy Garcia VS Phillip Humber, a guy making his first start of the season in the first game of the DH. Humber has just 1 previous appearance this season. He went 2 innings in which he was unscored on, but gave up 2 hits and a walk. He's had just 19 appearances in the major leagues and 1 previous start. He has an awful 1.80 WHIP and 5.68 ERA in his career at the major league level. The numbers seem to suggest the Sox ought to hit the guy, but we'll see. Freddy has not been stellar of late, so it could be a game where the bullpens have to work early. That would be less than ideal, since they have a 2nd game scheduled tonight, with Pena facing Bryan Bullington. Bullington is intriguing. He has just 7 appearances in the majors this season, but since being inserted into the starting rotation, he has 2 quality starts. He went 6 innings vs the Angels, giving up 3 runs...pretty decent. but in his last start the Royals beat the Yankees 1-0, with Bullington going 8 strong innings. The Sox have not faced him either. His ERA is 3.00 and his WHIP is 1.19 I'll predict a split, with the Royals taking game 2.
