WR,
I met you at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Woodridge a few weeks ago at the MJH remote. We talked about hour hatred for the 9-12 show. I agreed with most of your posts about said show. This past Friday I was given thE oppertunity to work from home. I was listening to M&M and didn't change the dial when they went off the air. I heard Sean read an e-mail from you. So not only are you listening to this show, but now you are an active participant? What has changed that made you do this? From what I heard, the show has not gotten any better. Should I be making an effort to listen at work? Tell me Ryan, WTF?

Yes, I know there are mistakes in my post. I should have used spell check before posting. Here is the correct version for those who care (my brother and Mac)

Why did you talk an hour about hatred?

What an odd post!? Ha! Big Daddy, I honestly do not remember talking about this show for an hour at BW3's in Woodridge. I talked to a lot of people that night: Grid, Ed, Vandy, Hawkeye, Spaulding, Mitch, but don't remember a Bid Daddy hour long conversation that lasted an hour long on our shared hatred for nine to noon. I listen to Mully and Hanley when I remember or am not lazy, but for the most part ESPN 1000 is on from 5am until I get hom from work. I stand by all of my posts from this show. I've ripped it plenty. However, I've - So Help Me God - defended Sean a couple of times and am a fan of Rosey's. Sean has calmed down a bit. I thnk the ego will always be there so there will be times when I will get enraged just listening to the loud blabbermouth, but I do think this show hasn't gotten slightly better (kind of like a S1 rated Diamond...not noticeable with the naked eye, but you can see things with x10 magnification). I'd say I put up with the show more than am a fan. It still spurns NFL discussion so if I got time like I did when work was cancelled on Friday, I'll send an e-mailed question their way. I've been an active participant of the show since it first came out. Lots of back and forth with Salisbury initially. He actually blew off my moniker once and called me out by my full name with middle initial because he was so pissed that I has successfully called him out on flip flopping. I don't think I should have any influence on your listening habits. I listen simply because its on ESPN 1000 and I just don't bother changing the dial, plaus since I am a Colts fan I do feel like I get a bit more NFL-wide coverage compared to strictly Bears. Probably not good programming for most of you, but works well for me. Also Jeff Dickerson covers a lot for Sean and I've always enjoyed his takes. As for WTF, I simply don't know what to tell you other than that Big Daddy. Hopefully I have not put you into therapy over hearing my e-mail to S&R. :D

Doug, I recommend a full dose of U2 from 1977 to 2006 and come up with an actual opinion on the band. Pay attention to the simplicity yet brilliance of the Edge. Listen to the lyrics of Bono and crack the code on a lot of their songs that so many people couldn't be more far off on. Listen to some of the greatest basslines by Adam Clayton and as for Larry Mullen Jr, eh..he's a drummer. If it wasn't for him the band wouldn't have existed, but I can't tell you any moment where he truly stands out among any other drummer. That Doug, is my recommendation for you. Do you have the "Boy" album? Let's start this magical and wondrous journey of one Doug in Evergreen Park.

Sorry, it was another typo on my part, I meant to say our hatred, not hour hatred.

I'll stop posting now and leave it to those who know what they are doing.

BigDaddy - no prob. I'm sure there was a discussion about my disappointment in the nine to noon slot. Maybe after posting look it over. I'm the last person who should even be saying this considering all the typo's I make on this board, but since I am at work I just throw my thoughts on here and move on.

Sorry my good friend.

One night stand? I have no clue as to what this refers to.

Basketball Roster...yeaaa, I wish I had drafted. Horrible team. Do I not have all my starters in?

Spaulding - She's a good looker....No pictures even though there was one taken of us at Downer's Grove that didn't get posted. BS!

Nas, you seriously need to show up at one of these things. Still awaiting you, Coach (thought you were gonna show at Harry Caray's) Coast (we keep missing each other at the same remotes)...

I was very disappointed. I thought you were talking about your hatred for the concept of the hour as a time unit for the 9-12 show.

I also share an intense hatred, some would say maniacal obsession, for the concept of the hour.

I'll guess I'll have to share those thought in another thread.

DAMN IT!

Nas,
Ryan is full of crap. I'm not good looking nor ugly. You probably would not notice me in a bar. Ryan, however, is a hottie.

Salisbury & Rosenbloom still suck.

I'd like for the shows to do more stuff around my neck of the woods, so I can make it out...I've had fun the two times I've gone out, but it was for Silvy & Carmen. MJ&H were at hooters in downer's grove one friday but my god that storm that night...no way was i going through that.

you know another thing that bugs me about s&r is that rosey seems intent on playing a somewhat funny sound clip TO...DEATH. today was another example "rex is our quarterback". it's more annoying when it's a music sound clip (like "american idiot") but man...he really beats it to death.

anyone catch the caller tonight on MJH that out of the blue crucified the Rosenblog segment, priceless...

Big Daddy must of had a snow day to be worried about Ryan's listening pleasures. I do remember B.D . being a chattie Kathy with Ryan that night but I thought they were making dinner plans.

Big Daddy is also a Romeoville High School grad and HE, also was absent the day they taught English .

Ryan , call me about your Hawks tickets .

Again Big Daddy, I do recall the conversation but with ESPN 1000 all day I can't help myself but "participate" when I hear something I just have to comment on. It's no secret that I've been a fan of Rosey's on this station after he got rid of the pimp hand, new black schtick. I always liked him on The Score on Saturdays. As for Sean, when tamed or really tired I'm fine with, but after he is all hopped up on God knows what, yes he drives me nuts.

Slapshot, no clue who you are, I've never met you and you do not know me, so don't act like you do. I met Ryan and Spaulding at the remote. I did not go to Romeoville H.S., but nice try.

Woodridge Ryan is blowing up.

I count 5 on-air references this week.

1st Sean Salisbury threatens to steal your girlfriend (wtf??) (1)

MJH tell you to take your ball and go home (2), and that gets played in the rewind the next day (3).

MJH read the "stop all this Dr. Phil stuff" e-mail about AI (haha, that segment sucked) (4)

A few minutes later, MJH announce "Woodridge Ryan has e-mailed again!!" (5)

Well done, sir!

It was actually Tony Parrish's ball (hopefully you get the reference).
