Tallet is with Toronto, right? He's pretty decent if it's who I think it is.

I'd take Tallet in a heartbeat. As a lefty specialist who can go long if needed, he'd be a good addition with MLB experience.

If it's the guy I'm thinking it is, he has a plus fastball with good movement and a decent slider.

The lineup is in for tonight's second of three vs. the Orioles. Here's how the White Sox will deal with lefty Brian Matusz:

1 Juan "Stolen Base Leader" Pierre LF
10 Alexei "Bat Me Second All the Time!" Ramirez SS
51 Alex "Slumping at .290?" Rios CF
14 Paul "The Only Regular Hitting .300 or Better" 1B
20 Carlos "Manny Who?" Quentin DH
12 Anthony John "Hitting Vs. Lefties...Yes!" Pierzynski C
25 Andruw "Good w/Glove, Bad w/Bat" Jones RF
11 Omar "Teahen Sucks at Third" Vizquel 3B
15 Gordon "I Won The Game Last Night, But Still Batting 9th...WTF?!" Beckham 2B

Mark "9 Innings or Bust?" Buehrle does the chuckin' for the Sox.

I couldn't agree more, SHARKY. Since the all star break Gordon is hitting .342/.398/.558. That's an OPS of .956 sitting in the 9th spot. Time to move him up, Ozzie.

So what's the deal? Ozzie still doesn't trust him?

From what I have heard, Ozzie's got no plans to move Gordon Beckham up in the lineup. I know that in the second game of the DH Saturday night in Kansas City, he got 2 hits in the #7 spot after #B Mark Teahen was forced to leave the game with a middle finger bruise and Beckham's replacement in Game 2, 2B Brent Lillibridge, shifted to third when Teahen was forced to leave the game. Lillibridge was eventually replaced late in the game by Omar Vizquel at third.

Like Shark, I am expecting a complete game from Buehrle tonight.

Considering the shaky state of the White Sox bullpen right now, GD, Buehrle needs to eat some innings and strap it down tonight.

Bullshit work from Ace. Needed to shut down a team that is struggling offensively and he puts on just enough guys to make them dangerous.

Twins lose again. Still 3.5 back but an opportunity lost. Do they face Lee tomorrow?

Twins just lost at least. That's 3 L's in a row for them and they face Cliff Lee tomorrow.

Lee vs Liriano. GREAT pitching match-up. The guy that closed for the Rangers (Hamilton) just had nasty stuff. He may have just been filling in as closer tonight, but he threw 94-95 and sure looked the part. Another great game Vlad hit the homer to decide the game, but it was another great game played by 2 very good teams. The Twins swept Texas in their ballpark and the Rangers are trying to return the favor. Great Baseball.

both Liriano and Lee have been hittable lately. It's a good matchup of names but neither is at the top of his game right now. Obviously, go rangers!

In case you really care, the lineup is in for tonight's finale in the 3-game series to Buck Showalter's Orioles, who have already won the season series over the White Sox after Brian "Cy" Matusz beat the Southsiders again last night! Here is Ozzie's lineup vs. the O's Jake Arrieta, who is facing the Sox for the first time:

1 Juan "0 for 4, Still Leads the Bigs in Steals" Pierre LF
11 Omar "1 More Season?" Vizquel 3B
51 Alex "Disappearing in August Again?" Rios CF
14 Paul "Scored From 1st Last Night...Really!" Konerko 1B
20 Carlos "I Drove Paulie In..." Quentin RF
12 A.J. "Struck Out to End It" Pierzynski C
10 Alexei "Ozzie, I Should Be Batting 2nd...Damn It!" Ramirez SS
23 Mark "I Want to Play Third Next Year" Teahen DH
15 Gordon "Another Homer and Ozzie's Still Batting Me 9th...WTF?!" Beckham 2B

Edwin "What Do You Mean Friday Didn't Count?" Jackson does the chucking for the Sox in the finale of 3 before the World Champion Yankees visit this weekend.

You got that right...He was supposedly ready to pitch the second game of that idiotic doubleheader, long before Tony Pena gave the White Sox 7 surprising innings in Kansas City late Saturday night/early Sunday morning.

Jackson looks pretty sharp tonight, as I write this he has 7 K's vs. 2 BB's. Too bad the Twinkies have a 5-0 lead on one of the best pitchers in baseball.

Huge start by Edwin. 8 shut out innings in the rubber game and saves the bullpen for the weekend series against the Yankees. Nice to see Rios had a big game. With Freddy going tomorrow hey need to jump all over shitbag Burnett early.

I'm still against the trade. Sometimes you need to think about the future...and Hudson is doing very well.

He is pitching well but I don't think for a second he would have those performances pitching in meaningful games.

I think Hudson is a good pitcher. He's got a 95 MPH fastball, a decent breaking ball and he had proven at AAA that he was a legit prospect. That said, he's pitching in the National league now. He's pitching (in home games) in the largest park this side of Yosemite and he's pitching in a less stressful situation. When he came up with the Sox, he knew it was produce now or you are probably either going to be dealt or sent back to AAA. Hard to say he would have performed at the same level had he stayed with the Sox. But it's a trade I think they may well regret. The Sox probably will not win the division and Hudson may well have a real nice career. Plus, he makes a heck of a lot less money than Jackson and increasing the payroll needlessly, is never a good idea.

I was watching "Quick Pitch" on the MLB Network this morning because Robin Meade wasn't on her "Morning Express". Anyway, there was a stat in which Edwin Jackson became the first White Sox pitcher since 1966 to allow 1 run or less in his first 4 starts. So far, that's pretty good...
