I don't think the Sox would be a "better" team without Rios, however they certainly wouldn't be any worse.

I completely disagree. Rios has been the second most productive hitter on this team, by a lot. Without Rios, we would probably be looking at Andruw Jones in center every day, and that's not good.

Now he is cutting his hair? I don't buy that unless he already wanted to cut that mess. He is a rental player, let him do whatever the hell he wants with his hair. The fact that this is a concern for KW and that its already been addressed is ridiculous. There is only one team that has an iron clad dress code. They don't address or discuss it there, its known. If they are so concerned about how their team is represented then get the annoying homer off your broadcast so people that aren't already hard core fans can watch a game without muting it.

Whose rule is it? Is it Kenny or Jerry? If its Jerry then why doesn't it apply to his other team? I don't care if they make him do it as his once plentiful dreads have morphed into 4 or 5 large and jacked up looking ropes. What are the specs of this rule? Above the collar? Would Cleveland's Chris Perez be in violation with his shaggy hair lumberjack look?

In other baseball hair news the Cardinals in show of team unity shaved their heads before yesterdays shutout loss to Houston. I thought everyone except rasmus already had a shaved head on that team so this is kind of a non-story story.

What sucks about baseball is that most of the contracts are guaranteed. So basically there isn't much any of the teams can do to make the players not act like idiots. Why should a team have to eat all the salary if the player is a worthless fool? If a regular person goes to work and doesn't follow the rules or do what the employer asks they get fired quickly. The occasional exceptions are usually college profs with tenure or people who work for their families.
