I'm thinking this Cochran is gonna get a lot of shifts at ESPN 1000. He's the ESPN type. Plus he's been doing big time radio for a long time. He's definitely radio smooth. I don't think he knows much about sports, though.

Sarah Spain's talents are wasted on the radio.

She should definately have a no speaking required type of gig.

I'm thinking:

I don't agree with that. You can tell she's educated. She speaks well. A couple of SCORE backups can't say that. That's half the battle in radio - Don't sound like an idiot.

There's not much substance with these two, but it's an easy listen

I thought it was a pretty good listen today. Both of them were acceptable.

Thank you for coherently stating your point instead of just answering with another YouTube video. I really appreciate it.

Spain just said she's gonna be in next week for Waddle and Silvy. They must like her over there. I'm sure her big boobs don't hurt her (execs get hypmotized by those), but she's a qualified broadcaster. She's not a bimbo. I rank her ahead of Hood. Looks like ESPN 1000 does too.

Those things are hypmotizing alright.

Did you really just say that Sarah Spain is a better sports talk radio host than Jonathon Hood?

Sweet Jesus...

If she just rubbed her breasts on the Mic for 3 hours I would listen.

Will a gate do for now?

I listed to some of their show on Friday and as others said, it was an easy listen especially when you consider the alternative was Laurence and Hub {shudder}. Sarah has much more personality when she's hosting then when she's doing updates. IIRC she said she went to Cornell so she must be pretty damn bright. Hopefully she's not as insecure as Bernsie and won't do what he did when he started at WSCR and say "When I was at Duke" or "At Duke..." instead of simply saying "When I was in college" or "In college..."

Being attractive with a huge rack isn't a big help in radio, but it probably can't hurt.

Cochran doesn't have a non-compete and he fits in well on the weekends, given the right guests. I agree with the rest of the public, I like him, but you can tell he doesn't live and breathe sports. If they ever get that man-show/sports hybrid radio station off the ground, Cochran would be great on that. If not, maybe he can work on LS. I'd hate to see him relegated to Grand Rapids or take a Atlanta or D.C. job (although I am sure he would kick ass at all of those.)

It's no secret Tony K was my favorite sports radio show of all time, so I have no problem listening to a "sports" radio show where the host talks sports but isn't all about sports (North's abortion notwithstanding). I'd surprised if Cochran was that kind of guy, but I don't need jock sniffers, stats geeks, news reporters, ex-athletes, and other assorted sports guys during every timeslot.
