I also wouldn't bet that if you flipped a coin three times that it would come up heads all three times without the right odds. That doesn't mean that it's virtually impossible to happen.

What it means, is that the liklihood of the Sox sweeping the Twins is a desperate longshot and not something a right thinking individual should be counting on. If you take away this "assumption" that the Sox will sweep the Twins, suddenly finding the wins for the Sox and losses for the Twins needed to combine for a Sox divisional championship (or tie) becomes really tough. With the Twins going for another sweep tonight against the Royals than then facing the Indians next (who we all know now are a Godawful team ), and having the easier schedule in their remaining games....come on, give it up!

I read a chart that formatted improperly on the site and then offered a defense of Danks and Floyd. I even said when I saw it that I couldn't tell whether I was reading it correctly because of the format. When the chart was explained, I said that it made sense.

Wait... so if the Twins continue at their same pace (winning 59% of their games) and the Sox continue at their same pace (winning about 56% of their games)... and the Sox are currently 4.5 games behind the Twins... you're telling me the Sox won't have more wins than the Twins after 162 games? There was nothing wrong with the formatting of the chart, you were just too stupid to figure it out. Nobody else had any difficulty undersanding it. I ask you to address the thread and argue against anything I have posted, but you can't . Doing so would only make you look even dumber than you already seem. But the referrence is intentionally vague, as there are no specific indignities to identify. There is a very strong correlation between probability and outcome. I believe in that correlation and choose to believe in that which is highly probable versus that which is highly unlikely. Typical of a shitty lawyer to try to talk around the question though.
