The Bears did everything but score in this game. They dominated offensively and owned the Lions even with Stafford in defensively.

GREAT game by the LB today. Urlacher looked like his old self. Pisa was fantastic. Briggs made big plays all day.

I was glad to see Moore have a nice game as the nickle back.

Tommie Harris came to play today.

It really is great finally having a backup running back who isn't a drop off from the starter. I loved the way Forte and Taylor complemented each other.

Good to see Cutler scramble when it was there.

My feeling from the stands seems to be much different from you couch monkeys. Take away the fumbles deep in Lion territory and this game is a blowout.

Bad teams lose games in myriad ways. They just happened to get lucky and win today.

As I wrote earlier, the interpretation in favor of the bears was no more lucky than the non call in favor of the lions on the same play. As Don Corleone would say, that is justice.

No, a good team does not allow a bad team to march down the field with under a minute left and put themselves in the position to win the game, bad call notwithstanding.

FOr a lot of the game Cutler looked like the QB we had supposedly traded for last year.

And welcome back Forte! May he be like Geovany Soto while in a different sport bouncing back after a tough year after ROY honors unfortunately I think his team will have the equivalently sucky year to Geo's team.

I saw some interesting football this weekend. Northwestern yesterday and Bears today. 2 Ws

Pastor Dungy made a decent point on NBC's pregame show. They showed the two point conversion from the Super Bowl where the Saints player dove for the end zone, reached for the goal line, and lost the ball when he landed. That was ruled a good catch, even though the player lost the ball. Dungy said if that was ruled a catch, than today's should have been as well.

It's different. When you jump in the air you have to control the ball the entire time.

just so it can be seen after it gets deleted...

Thanks crosscheck.

Hova,

So it depends on high off the ground you are??

Jump=Total control until you give the ball to the ref
Dive=Cross the plane, drop ball, so what

I stand by my "Fuck you, NFL"

I imagine B&B will jump on Billick talking about how the team needs more fire and passion since they don't get it from Cutler or Lovie.

This is the town of Butkus, and Ditka, and those Bear teams of the '80s....

I am curious Z, if you did not watch the game how do you know any of this?

Shocking I'm gonna take up for him but I thought he did well. He held on to the ball a little too long but avoided some sacks too.

Why was Bowman covering Johnson one on one on that disputed TD? Shouldn't a bigger cornerback like Tillman be covering Johnson, especially since everyone knows that with 20+ seconds left on the clock and no timeouts left the Lions are basically are going to go to the endzone.

Didn't the Bears blitz that play? Given the circumstances seemed like the worst time to get aggressive.

He did. He just wasn't very accurate.

Look at my pizza place BF

He completed 65% of his passes. How is that not very accurate?

He moved the pocket well considering the line he has to work with. It's kind of a Catch-22 because Martz actually had a lot of protection schemes in with Malubigtuna or a back chipping, but with fewer targets afield, it made guys misrunning routes more critical. Cutler isn't exactly Kurt Warner with his touch on some balls, but other than that pass he forced badly to Knox on 3rd and 20, most of his decisions were pretty good. This receiving corps and line just aren't good enough to run any system.
