Grossman puts me in my place for one week and plays a solid, mistake free game. Hester shocks the NFL and sets a record in the process. Moose has a strong game in his own right, making key catches in key situations. And the Benson/Jones/Peterson combo run all over the field for two scores.

However, the defense give up two very long drives (albeit one of them in the midst of a hurry-up shotgun) and allow Bulger to rack up 300+ yards and three scores. Should Bear fans be concerned AT ALL about the Harris-less defense now after what we saw tonight?

No, Rams have a ton of weapons on offense and Bulger is certainly more than an adequate QB. I was expecting the Rams to put up a lot of points in this one. Tremendously satisfied with the game tonight.

I also was expecting the Rams to score a lot tonight and I thought they did. 27 points isn't "a lot" in your world?

I still need to see consistency out of Rex, I'm not completely sold after one strong performance.

If you're not concerned, you're not paying attention. Harris was their best defensive lineman. Now he's gone and has been replaced in the starting lineup with Alfonso Boone, an average player. Further, Ogunleye and Brown haven't played quite as well this year as they did last year. Neither pressured Bulger much last night in spite of the fact that Alex Brown was matched against a backup tackle. Mark Anderson is their best pass rusher, but he doesn't start because the coaches don't trust him in running situations. If I were Drew Brees, I'd be very excited about playing against the Bears defense right now...

Maybe the Bears should sign Peter Bondra to play defensive tackle. That should really help to improve the situation on the interior of the line.

Good thing for the Saints, you're not. Even with the injuries, I'd take my chances with this defense over the other defenses in the NFC (with Vash, at least).

I'm allowed to question any and all hockey moves by all teams Coach, particularly when the team I'm now rooting for's major acquisition of the off-season was Tyler goddamn Arnason.

I'm pretty much convinced that unless something drastic happens to LT, NONE is going to beat the Chargers in the playoffs. And that includes my beloved Patriots or the Bears.
